Cancer is probably the hardest disease to prevent. Dr. Sarah Hallberg who unfortunately passed away earlier this month was a champion in fighting diabetes. She ate healthy. She was vegan most of her life. She later switched to Keto diet. I would imaging she had worked with Dr. Thomas Seyfried of Boston College trying to treat her cancer. Dr. Seyfried believed that cancer was metabolic disease. He successfully treated many cancer patients. But apparently, the young and talented Dr. Hallberg wasn’t able to beat lung cancer although she never smoked and nobody in her family smoked. I’m quite pessimistic about the future of cancer treatment.
Being vegan, or restricting your nutrients is a huge mistake imo. Eg. glutathione can be produced in your body mostly due to animal products like eggs. Balance diet based on your epigenetics is a key here, supported by some biomarkers like A1C. Peter Attia has CGM attached to his body for a reason…
Its actually not that hard, but it would be hard for anyone who is locked in the chemotherapy and radiation cure world .. I have seen many stage 4 lung cancer patients recover and that’s after their bodies have been abused by chemo and radio ..
C-Reactive Protein, a well known inflammatory biomarker, is also a predictor of cancer ("Association between C-reactive protein and risk of cancer: a meta-analysis of prospective cohort studies ").
Now there is something called the Galleri test. I have always had a wonderfully low/normal glucose level, blood pressure, cholesterol balance, and have been really healthy and strong and fit. But I look around and see people right now getting diagnosed with stage four cancers - even though all their other blood work and everything has been just fine. So i looked for what research was being done and now, for about a week, I have been curious about the Galleri test. I’m going to schedule myself to take it as soon as my doctor can get me in.
Hey Dr Attia. Why does obesity increase risk for cancer? Everything I search for shows it does increase mortality by cancer, but what's the reason? Would it be the lack of activity, rather than the added quanity of adipose?

Yes, I'm surprised he seemed unaware of this.
I'm surprised he does not discuss this test as well.
So disappointing that we still don’t have blood tests that tell us
more

Metabolic dysfunction
Reduced immune function. Metabolic dis-regulation, increased oxidative stress, reduced mitochondrial function, autophagy, and apoptosis
