Great comparison video, though it was sometimes a little hard to hear the ambient noise comparisons with the backing music track :) thanks for the vid!
i do appreciate the comparison. im looking at trying to get a good setup for my 360 One R. But the audio track in the background definitely takes away from the goal of the video. As funky as it is.
Thanks for your video. How did you manage to seamlessly change from the different microphone settings? Was it the physical button or is there a shortcut between the GoPro and the Rode mic?
Up until Hero4 gopro used to have fantastic mics, all you needed was a wind sock and that was it. Perfectly usable audio even at motorway speed. Then the Hero5 was released with the new body form and it's been a complete disaster ever since. They might as well take all the mics off and keep one just for scratch audio.
I think the mics still sound fine audio quality wise. Perfectly good enough but, as you say, absolutely useless in the wind…even just casual riding like I do.
@@tdcattech you're right, I should have specified: riding a motorcycle with a GoPro was the subject of my rant :) It really went from PERFECT to UNUSABLE overnight. Absolutely shocking

I think its a great video and was useful to hear differences with and without the backing music, thanks for the comparison vid, super useful!!
Do you remember which setting you used?
Nice video but what were your settings?Am Having a hard time with wind on same mic

Two GoPros. One recording on the internal mic and the other with the Wireless Go synched up in the edit. 👍🏻
@@tdcattech you made it look soo seamless :) thanks
