That's cool. I actually prefer the Silverliner 4 seats or the Silverliner 3 seats over the 5's. More comfortable and you can sleep better on them in my opinion.
huh?...I don't understand what you mean?.. are you referring to the catenary wire above were track 3 should be in the Exton to Malvern section. That's just left there to connect both sides of the catenary. They do plan to add track 3 back in the near future.
Indeed and don't forget the Alco's and EMD's also. My dad remembers seeing all the big diesel and electric's. He even remembers the Silverliner 1's when they first came out. He called them "new trains". Indeed classic cat poles in a modern rail world, you got to have a bit of the past to spice up the future :-)
EMDSD14R I remember all of those quite well! Saw CAPI/PICA, ENCA/CAEN, etc. Loadede Ore trains were quite impressive to see on the Mainline. I do remember seeing the Diesels, Electrics and even the Silverliner I's back in the mid/late 70's. It's a shame the P&T and A&S Branches are gone. They were each engineering Masterpieces!
That's cool I mostly film at Thorndale, Downingtown and Exton. its close to home plus NS run's in that section of the line. That's cool I remember when I was 9 but that was a long time ago.
LOL..you can thank the suspension of Silverliner 5's for such a bumpy ride. The Keystones, Septa Bombardier sets, Silverliner 4's and even the Silverliner 2/3's didn't bounce like this. I am glad you enjoyed the video!
Back when Paoli was the primary R5 terminus, and the yard was still open, did trains usually layover in the yard, then cross over four tracks to get back to Philadelphia?
cool video!
Thanks buddy
thanks
thanks!!
Very Nice Cab-ride! Thumbs up :D

BRAVO ENCORE
I'm viewing this because when I was in school up there, SEPTA did not go any further west than Paoli.(1979 and 1980)
I love the voice on this train. And the seats are a massive improvement over the "70s rental car" seats on the IVs

cool
No problem! :D

Where the GG1's, E44's, E33's and MP54's once roamed. Plus a ton of freight trains during the PRR/PC and early CR era. Love those 1938 Cat Poles!

9 years old
I thought Amtrak's Keystone service was bumpy, that is nothing to this. I enjoy the video even if it is a little shaky.

Thank buddy sorry for the late reply my you tube messages aren't showing up sometimes
is SEPTA always that slow?
He was doing track speed in the correct sections the zoom makes it seems slow
welcome i live near thorndale so i might see u sometime i am 9 too
:-)
Nice video.
Do these cars really ride this poorly?
A Silverliner II car would be floating on that rail like a cloud.
Thanks and yes they did. But things have changed slightly since they 've been rebuilding the trucks on them. Oh yeah I most certainly.
cool
