I play reball in Watertown NY when I can. I try and use that as my time to reload and practice while shooting. Since you don't have to worry about paint too much.
I got a 4 pod pack and I place the 2 left pod's open taps towards the left and the right pod's open tads to the right. I also do a quick hand reach with my left and right hands before just to make sure my hand lines up with the tabs. Funny is when I got my first pod pack I just automatically put my pods in like that without anyone telling me how to do it. It felt natural and best to do it that way. Also another helpful tip is when you're in a game and under pressure reach for the pods on your dominant hand side first. Your dominant hand is automatically quicker and more coordinated than your non dominant hand. So when you're not not under pressure and got a extra second reload with the pods on your non dominant hand side. Well I don't know how well that is on a speedball field but in woods ball it works good
When putting pods in your pack yourself, place your thumb on the lip that you use to open the pod. When you reach back to grab the pod, your hand falls to the same handle you had on the pod to put it in there. Your thumb will already be right where it needs to be to open it. I've never had to fidget with a pod or look down to open one.
I do the same thing. Funny thing is when I first bought a pod pack I put it on and put the pods in to see how it fit an works. When I did i automatically line up the pod taps up where they would be wheb I would reach for em in a game.
I put the thumb openers to the direction I will Pull them from. I.e. I typically run a 4+3 pack and the 4 face the thumb spots 2 left and 2 right. When I pull them, they are already where my hand is grabbing them at.
That's how I do it. I got a 4 pod pack and I place 2 left pod open taps left and the right pod open tads right. I also do a reach quick hand reach with my left and right hand before just to make sure my hand lines up with the tabs.
What I do is practice with half pods that way im reloading more during a match but still using less paint its a great way to practice and save money at practice.
my next video is actually on sliding and I will be doing a special one with our new snake players, Brandon and Kyle. I will make sure they cover everything they know for you!
Sad part is I already do these things, other than the cereal pods. I also run laps with water bottles in my pod pack that work really well so you don't fumble with the straps
Put your pod pack on with 3,4,or 5 pods full of whatever to get the sameish weight and just wear it around town, around the house, go jogging with it as well. In no time you wont even notice the weight from the whole pod pack. The weight from 3 pods to 4 really is hardly noticeable. You could always find a 3+1 or 3+2 pack out there and only use 3 spots or all of them. What I tend to do is if I'm going to run up like crazy, bring 2-3 pods out, move up, and only shoot when I have a good shot.
Mr. Greenspan i have a quick question about sliding, unloading pods can be a tricky task in general for some people. What about Sliding, how can you correctly judge a place to slide into, without over sliding? For example when I slide into the Snake, I almost always over slide an 'Fishtail' as the ref says at my field, if i dont over shoot, I undershoot by a good foot or two(legs sticking out of the back of the snake when sliding). How can i correct this?
No I mean it moves around a lot but no breaks. For practice I just use DXS Field Grade I mean if I was using Ultra Evil maybe but its just practice lol
I have a question, please answer! Im getting a new pod pack i dont know if i should get a 4 pod pack or a 3 pod pack. Will i feel a big weight difference if i get a 4pod pack? Or will my pack shake around more? And i sometimes do shoot paint down like crazy but im just not sure if 3 pod pack is enough to last a whole game?someone experienced with paintball please answer! Thank you
And before putting your pod in your pack, hold it like you're going to open it (thumb on the button) and then put it in your pack. I would say that's the best way to stop fumbling with your pod on the field.
k seriously heres how I view it the pod pack is generally designed to have more than 3 or 4 pods anyways ex 4+3+3 or 3+3+2 etc so theres no point in worrying about extra weight in a playoff round having that extra pod could be crucial + when playing woodsball just for fun (if u do occasionally) even though you wont shoot off paint as fast games last a lot longer and its nice to have more paint on you cuz its a pain if u run out and have to go all the way back to base to refill with your caddy
If I got to have free paint like them pros I wouldn't be needing to practice reloading only the part when I spill a lot of paint and look good doing it
i did coment your reply but i forgot to write something so i deleted it and i got "author blocked" or something and i cant reply your reply so: - Thank you d: love your work, keep it up man and good luck next season (:
Ryan Greenspan And Scott Kemp are my Idols. Great Proball tips, and awesome exercise and nutritional tips.
if youre putting cereal inside of a pod, you might have a problem

1:55 a typical paintballers morning.

thanks for the support!
Hahaha my wife is gonna be pissed once I switch the cereal box to pods.
Buy a speed feed. They come in handy💯 when you have a speed feed you don't have to worry about opening and closing the lid on your hopper
Correction to the song in the video, it is actually VOKAB KOMPANY - GUNSLINGER feat. Solovox, Deploi
That cereal thing was the best idea I've ever heard.
What I do is practice with half pods that way im reloading more during a match but still using less paint its a great way to practice and save money at practice.

now i can keep snacks in my pods when im playing on field
Yeah you go to reload and in the middle of a game and "oh that's my Cocoa Puffs"

is there any good channels for pro woodsball tips?
Please do more vids like this!!!
my first time using pods I grabed it and it was stuck in my pack and I pulled on the lid and it opened and spilt all the paint
And before putting your pod in your pack, hold it like you're going to open it (thumb on the button) and then put it in your pack. I would say that's the best way to stop fumbling with your pod on the field.
Confirmed: Ryan Greenspan puts his cereal in before the milk
Of course he does. He's no animal.
i was waiting for you to pull a beer out of the pod pack when you were on your couch
Alright Perfect sir, thank you!

I practice with actual paintballs in the pod and dump them into my hopper as fast as I can without spilling any, works pretty good :)\
do you suggest a speed feed
Everyone has a speedfeed except woodsball players
i have seriously seen mark kressin pull out a beer out of his pack during a game when he didn't even know it was there
Ha love the cereal trick
the paintball spild because the pod its fill to the top so nvm
If I got to have free paint like them pros I wouldn't be needing to practice reloading only the part when I spill a lot of paint and look good doing it
Hey dude just starting Paintball!!! been loads and buying my gun next week.... im allowed to buy the Eclipse etek 4 LT or etek 4 am... whats better?
The Etek 4 LT and AM are the same, the only difference is that the LT is made with some composite parts and the AM is all metal
so what do you think i should get ...im13 and have a okay build
If I was you I wouldn't even get the Etek, I would go for an Empire Axe
wy is it better?
Max Wainwright Get the G5, its a mid-end very reliable gun and easy to mantain.
Lmao, nice work!
N with speed feed makes game so much easier

Wearing a pod pack while watching TV: Pro tip for not getting/keeping a girlfriend
