Wow. They don't have any of the weird errors/imbalances on a lot of other tapes from the same era, even though sometimes I like the raw errors of a low quality home recording, that makes Jim's work all the more impressive.

it's a stock sound. this specifically is the "howie scream" but the most famous one is the "wilhelm scream", and several variations of it.
