Ashley literally had no right to announce Manny was pregnant like that. I get that Craig cheated on her and all that but it still doesn't give her the right to do that to the two of them.
It was over the top for sure, but she's an angsty, irrational, hurt teenager. You can't really hold her to it too much. The majority of adult, stable women would even blown up in this fashion if given the chance.
Omg I remember them doing that, I would wait for these episodes lol , and sometimes they just wouldnt air and I'd be like tf? I sneak to watch this and yall just gonna let me down like that? 😂
You can tell Craig is bipolar in this episode. They weren’t talking to each other or anything, and now because Manny is pregnant, suddenly he wants to be with her and be a family because of the baby and because he doesn’t have a family in his mind. That baby could’ve been any girls baby and Craig would’ve been happy, I’m so happy Manny snapped out of Craig’s fantasy and realized the realities of what being a teen parent would really be like.
She did but she was on drugs, she didn't know what she was doing. Sure it's still cheating but at least she didn't do it voluntarily, she regretted it after. Craig cheated voluntarily and he doesn't give af about it
This episode/show as a whole was so progressive for its time. We dont even have material like this on TV TODAY for our kids. I feel so lucky to have gotten to grow up with a show that approached kids with honesty about social issues from such a young age.
I personally don't agree with Emma's stance, but she was a product/child of a teen pregnancy, and is probably taking Manny's choice personally without realizing it.
I love how this show crafts its characters. On any other show, Emma would be the storeotypical liberal. Shes an enviormentalist and a women's rights actvist. However, she happens to be pro-life, based on life experiences that have formed her, that being the fact that she was a teenage pregancy. We aren't one side or the other, we all have biases and experinces that shape up, and because we know exactly why emma has this viewpoint that differs so much from her others, it's not at all out of character when she reacts the way she does.
I can get Emma in this episode. She is the baby of a teen mother if Spike had made that same choice as Manny she wouldn't be alive so I get it. She still stuck up for Manny in the end.
BubblegumGirl366 Yeah well she's still holier than though. Fact is her mother DIDN'T abort her so she needed to quit making Manny's dilemma about her. But she did come through when it counted.
When Ashley found out about how Craig knocked Manny up & made that announcement in the cafeteria it reminded me of when Katie showed that video of Drew wasted at his party during the pep rally. Ashley was totally the OG Katie Matlin
I love Spike...but I'm kinda disappointed in her hair...I mean, she's a hair dresser🤷♀️ I figured she would have some awesome funky hair style. Especially after her iconic Junior high hair😁
I agree, even in Senior high after she had Emma, her hair didn't really tame. It did a little after awhile, but I think it was just sort of more of a change
Emma is so annoying for this they are CHILDREN. 14 years old. Not even finished with puberty. Manny has NO business having a child at her age. Everyone who tried to advise otherwise is problematic af
Emma is coming from a place of a teenage mother's daughter, her mom had her at the same age as Manny and didn't abort her so of course she wouldn't want Manny to either. But in the end she was there for Manny
It's really interesting to be rewatching this and see how much these characters grow and progress by graduation/college. I forgot about so many of these older plotlines.
you can feel and see how even in the show the generations are only worse with time. there's more gossip, more bullying, less friends, less support, more depression.
JT should really just go out with Liberty, she even offered to treat him when she asked him out & that wet dream about her proves he likes her deep down
noooooooooooooooooo YOU CAN'T SPOIL A SHOW THAT'S BEEN RE-AIRED MANY TIMES AS WELL AS ENDED IN 2014. I'M AN OLDER VIEWER, SO I'M NOT INTO SUGAR COATING OR NOT TALKING ABOUT A SHOW THAT'S OVER, SIMPLY BECAUSE, SOMEONE HASN'T WATCHED THE ENTIRE SERIES.
babd71 why'd u have to say it! Younger viewers may have wanted to watch this show episode by episode without any clue of what what might happen! Take your comment down!
I’ve been binge watching this for a few days now and I just gotta say this should be on tv now for this generation that I’m in because tuh we need it!!
It’s such a shocker to me that manny didn’t keep her baby. They way they built the situation up was like she was desperate and would do anything for Craig to be hers. So for her to not keep the baby when Craig is finally all in about her is weird to me.
If manny wasn’t desperate for love and attention she would’ve never gotten pregnant btw why doesn’t that black guy get any lines. I’m pretty sure he isn’t a mute
The writers were like: okay, this character is black and likes hip-hop, so he has to beatbox in every scene.
I’m low-key hurt that Craig referred to Joey as “some guy” after everything he’s done for him
ashley’s over here acting like she didn’t cheat on our boy drake
“I stay at some guy’s house.” Craig I know you did not just do my man Joey like that
Ashley got the "I need to see the manager" haircut smh
Kyanite 😂😂😂😂😂
Kyanite she would say that too
LMFAO
ruthblvd she’s so annoying 😂
ruthblvd 😭😭😭😭
Ashley really would’ve caught these hands in the cafeteria lmao girl don’t expose my business like that.
😂😂😂😂😂
😩😂😂 right!
Agreed
Nahh fr
Agreed!! No one has the right to go spreading other people’s business like that
"You're about as edgy as a butter knife" I busted out laughing XD
Yeah me too, I didn't know until now that that line was in this episode
Like I get Ashley was upset about Craig getting Manny pregnant, but that was unnecessary and just plain catty. Who tf just outs someone like that?
Ashley was the same age Manny was when she cheated with Craig when she cheated on Jimmy. The hypocrisy is OUTTA this world.
I think she cheated with Sean not Craig
Carl Lawan that's what the comment says. It's not well written, but it's the same idea.
Sean and Ashley kissed, Manny and Craig slept together and got PREGNANT!!
Arica Ames Cheating is cheating
Luffy1045 but was Ashley thinking right at the moment no because she was on a drug while Manny and Craig did know what was going on
Ashley would’ve got stomped 😂 I would’ve done it on Manny’s behalf. Girl, don’t ever put nobody business in the street.
Black Girl Magic right
Preach sister
preach!! I would've been mad on manny's behalf, like I understand Ashley being hurt but she has no right putting manny's business out there
Paige shouldve said anything to her tho
Black Girl Magic she was being pettttty 😂
It is confirmed. Ashley is THE WORST.
Yes she is
Ashley literally had no right to announce Manny was pregnant like that. I get that Craig cheated on her and all that but it still doesn't give her the right to do that to the two of them.
Sometimes I find Ashley pretty annoying
It was over the top for sure, but she's an angsty, irrational, hurt teenager. You can't really hold her to it too much. The majority of adult, stable women would even blown up in this fashion if given the chance.
Uh oh. Craig’s possessive dad coming out in this one. Great writing.
Dude, i see you everywhere.
OMGG THEY LIKED YOUR COMMENT😳
This and the last episode weren't aired in the US for being too "controversial".
And then we had 16 and Pregnant....
America....
Lissa Lykopis I remember watching this episode and I'm in the states...
Cora Musgrave where do you live? I'm in GA so it might have been a local thing but it was when it first came out in 2004.
🤦
Omg I remember them doing that, I would wait for these episodes lol , and sometimes they just wouldnt air and I'd be like tf? I sneak to watch this and yall just gonna let me down like that? 😂
I only saw it after the showed "every single degrassi ever" specials
I don't care how justified Ashley's anger at Craig was. She had no right to expose Manny like that.
“I can’t believe you’re gonna get that huge” 🙄 Craig is the worst
Nifah Ni right
You can tell Craig is bipolar in this episode. They weren’t talking to each other or anything, and now because Manny is pregnant, suddenly he wants to be with her and be a family because of the baby and because he doesn’t have a family in his mind. "Are you on crack?!!??" Not yet spinner, not yet.
Kenya Kay Emerson Johnson 😩😭😭😭😭😭
LMAO that black dude is looking at Liberty like a wholeeeee schnack
Marquise Lee he was rubbing his hands and licking his lips 😭😭😭
Bro was lookin at her like a whole mountain of powder caine at Rick James dressing room.
RIGHT
These comments😂😂😂
I was hoping someone else saw that!! COULD YOU IMAGINE?! LMAAO
“Angies always wanted a sister”
“I think she’d be the babys aunt”
I see what you did there Degrassi 😏
Aries Simmer lmao plz explain
@@layluh4932 the actor Angie is the actor Manny's little sister
stephanie taylor ohhhhh thx
I thought the exact same! Lol.
Caught that!!! lol
Man, paige was spilling everyone's tea. And ashly was the worst person to tell. Paige told her that in confidence.
greendayfecer You do realize she broke Manny's trust to tell Ashley that in "confidence", right?
Paige knew what she was gonna do like cmon craig is her ex she knew she was gonna freak
Didnt Ashley cheat on Jimmy? Girl cut it.
Kya Crawford twice I’m pretty sure Shawn and Craig
She did but she was on drugs, she didn't know what she was doing. Sure it's still cheating but at least she didn't do it voluntarily, she regretted it after. Craig cheated voluntarily and he doesn't give af about it
Paige is so nice when something serious happens, but whenever she gets a chance to spread rumors, she does lmao
Ashley needs to get over the fact that Craig didn't love her, and the fact that she would stoop so low just to get back at Manny is ridiculous.
For real, Manny should have brought up the fact that Ashley took E and cheated on Jimmy lol just to be petty
Bleach Exactly I would had done the same
I AM GOING TO STRANGLE ASHLEY ISTG
and paige while im at it
She was the original Katie Matlin lmao
It's like, regardless of what manny and craig did. That is their business.
I'm surprised that ashly didn't get in trouble for that.
greendayfecer we would have been fighting
This episode/show as a whole was so progressive for its time. We dont even have material like this on TV TODAY for our kids. I feel so lucky to have gotten to grow up with a show that approached kids with honesty about social issues from such a young age.
Joe Rap Same!
Joe Rap what about degrassi they still make modern day degrassi episodes that speak on the same topics as back than it’s just newer
Lmaooooo it’s funny to me how JT is so disgusted with liberty but he IS the one that knocked her up sooo
Cherry wait whaaaa JT got liberty pregnant?
Hes not so much disgusted, but more like annoyed. She's been bugging him for a long time.
Rayne Jackson Yep they end up dating and get pregnant. They give the baby up for adoption though.
Not to mention he had a wet dream about her a couple episodes back! So his behavior now it’s kind of odd.
" You're about as edgy as a butterknife" OMG I lost it lol!!!!
everyone was extra savage in this episode
Lmao when liberty said “wanna go skip school and chill at the ravine” 😂
manny's acting is fine but whenever there comes a crying scene .... it's so bad it cracks me up.
Yeah, Cassie thankfully got much better at fake crying down the line. But to be fair she was only like 13 here.
I know right bahaha she looks like shes about to bust out laughing
Odeee😂
When they showed her face after Ashley ran her mouth, she kind of smiled when she got up to run off
I personally don't agree with Emma's stance, but she was a product/child of a teen pregnancy, and is probably taking Manny's choice personally without realizing it.

That dude looked at Liberty like a whole buffet😓😂
craig was like “theyre mine” and i was like ugh gross this cant get worse then he was like “theyre for me” and i gagged
“Are you on crack?”
Not yet
Sara Katherine hahaha
Lmaooo
Sara Katherine 😂😂😂😂😂
crack and coke are to diffent things craig did coke not crack but both are equally bad
@@Nyquan21 I mean... Not EQUALLY bad.
Yooooooo why was my mans looking at Liberty like she was a five course meal!!!! I am SCREAMING! 😩😂😂😂💀
And why he didn't have any lines! Lol!
"You miss 100% of the shots you don't shoot."~Liberty VanZandt
Bro Ashley is so annoying she acts like she’s never cheated
Everyone glew up at least a little bit this season but liberty....I really want good sis to have a come up
Makaflockaflame it's the glasses lmfaoooo
Toby too
Liberty glows up eventually but Toby never does lmfao
She did though later...
Makaflockaflame forreal she’s pretty but she wears ugly clothes and them glasses gotta go
Suddenly when Manny gets pregnant she is dressing like girl her age should.
"5 finger discount on a pack of smokes"
Ashley bish you outta line . Paige should've kept her mouth shut . Whatever she heard wasnt her business to tell
Ashley would have caught these hands 💪👊🤷
When Ashley found out about how Craig knocked Manny up & made that announcement in the cafeteria it reminded me of when Katie showed that video of Drew wasted at his party during the pep rally. Ashley was totally the OG Katie Matlin
k fan ashley needed to be punched in her face
Ashley needed to get cussed out
I always hated the Matlin's
True but katie got better
I love Spike...but I'm kinda disappointed in her hair...I mean, she's a hair dresser🤷♀️ I figured she would have some awesome funky hair style. Especially after her iconic Junior high hair😁
I agree, even in Senior high after she had Emma, her hair didn't really tame. It did a little after awhile, but I think it was just sort of more of a change
Ikr, I don't even recognize her with her hair like that.
Emma is so annoying for this they are CHILDREN. 14 years old. Not even finished with puberty. Manny has NO business having a child at her age. Everyone who tried to advise otherwise is problematic af
Makaflockaflame Age of consent is 12 in Mexico, Quinceanera is at 15, you uncultured fool.
They should've been more careful, to be honest. Not just for pregnancy but for STDs
Emma is coming from a place of a teenage mother's daughter, her mom had her at the same age as Manny and didn't abort her so of course she wouldn't want Manny to either. But in the end she was there for Manny
Tom Kruze and that means 12 year olds should be having children? Just because you can have children at 12 doesn’t mean that you should.
Makaflockaflame it’s just a show lol
" you're just walking round like lalala ! " 😂
“Ayo my friend over there think you cute”
“20:19”
Soarsche Worthington lmaoo
It's really interesting to be rewatching this and see how much these characters grow and progress by graduation/college. I forgot about so many of these older plotlines.
Sunshine sameeee. I’m 22 watching this & it’s hella nostalgic. I’m realizing that this stuff happened when I was younger 😭
these KIDS talking about “i hope it’s a girl” HUHHHH
Exclusively Eda honestly like your 14 bro
This entire episode is aggravating lol Paige Ashley Ellie! all of them are tore up
Lmfaooooo boy said " Manny and the baby ,their mine ! They're for me !! " Rotffff no sir'e'bob!!
Lmaoooo Liberty has a little crush on Sean 😅 I wish we could’ve gotten a friendship between them though
you can feel and see how even in the show the generations are only worse with time. there's more gossip, more bullying, less friends, less support, more depression.
Dang liberty never can get a break but there goes the show people are shallow but at least someone asked her out
Joey Brewer JT lowkey likes Liberty, he even had a wet dream about her. He just doesn’t want to admit it. He needs to quit playin
Why would it be a bad thing if they dated
That is true but people should know its what in the inside that counts
the music that plays every time liberty comes on screen has me CACKLING
when spinner is the voice of reason....
JT should really just go out with Liberty, she even offered to treat him when she asked him out & that wet dream about her proves he likes her deep down
k fan i ship sooooo hard
k fan THEY END UP WITH A BABY OF THEIR OWN, THEY GIVE UP FOR ADOPTION.
babd71 you just haaadddd to spoil it 🤦🏾♀️
noooooooooooooooooo YOU CAN'T SPOIL A SHOW THAT'S BEEN RE-AIRED MANY TIMES AS WELL AS ENDED IN 2014. I'M AN OLDER VIEWER, SO I'M NOT INTO SUGAR COATING OR NOT TALKING ABOUT A SHOW THAT'S OVER, SIMPLY BECAUSE, SOMEONE HASN'T WATCHED THE ENTIRE SERIES.

this is why i have NEVER EVER liked ashley
I’m so happy they tackled such huge issues tastefully in this show
*smack* ArE YoU oN CRaCk??
😂 favorite part lol
Ashley is the WORST character EVER!!!!!
This is the realest show ever.
Liberty looks like a minion in those overalls and yellow shirt, lol
dude don't remember them showing the full bottom half of the baby when I watched this as a kid. Lol
The Silva Lining well now you know
They probably didn't, I thought the same thing.
yo I really never liked Ash and everytime I think she's okay I don't like her again
manny crying is some of the worst acting i have ever seen lmfao
iLLWiLL TheMiCK her and her mom to be honest
Same cringing the whole time lmfao 💀
I’ve been binge watching this for a few days now and I just gotta say this should be on tv now for this generation that I’m in because tuh we need it!!
Baby Jack was singing😂😂😂...Somebody change me dammit before I get a diaper rash, change me, change me!!!😂😂😂
Haha
Did Paige just say watermelon is a colour?? Lmao
It kind of is. In makeup it's a red color with more pink in it 😂
Ah, the episode that was banned from The-N back in the day. Good to see it uploaded.
Liberty wants to be liked so bad
Her and Toby are too desperate.
What’s so bad about that..
Spinner and this tongue ring is crazy
For Emma caring about so many issues, I’m surprised she’s anti-choice
She said it’s her choice
It's called Pro-Life, and her mom was pregnant with her when she was 14
Paige told Ashley and for what? She knew that Ash would be mad and spread it smh
I like liberty's Rizzo look, but when someone says no you need to accept that.
15:16 tell me why when Sean said that to Liberty i literally died of laughter
Why they pair liberty with the mute durag? 🙃😐lol
It’s such a shocker to me that manny didn’t keep her baby. They way they built the situation up was like she was desperate and would do anything for Craig to be hers. So for her to not keep the baby when Craig is finally all in about her is weird to me.
8:29 liberty dresses like a minion lmaooo
Liberty is such a weirdo LOL
Lexii Dominique she is a weirdo and I love it
Lexii Dominique her crush on JT is adorable though
k fan yes
k fan am I the only one thinking that it’s super creepy and annoying?
Elena Wilson Imogen was way more weird when she liked Eli . Her crush on him was adorable but she stalked him
“No schlibloggel”
-Spinner
Idk why JT is acting like he don’t love Liberty’s dirty draws.
Craig is so immature.
i like how in this show they make the pregnant 🤰 thing real
12:28 I cant believe JT burned Liberty like that.
I love this show
Jayonna Marshall
i
If manny wasn’t desperate for love and attention she would’ve never gotten pregnant btw why doesn’t that black guy get any lines. I’m pretty sure he isn’t a mute
And is the black guy that hangs with Jay and Sean slow orrr what? Lmao he always looks lost af
Kya Crawford they never give him any lines. They probably tell him to sit there and make faces
18:36 that one in the back with the paper was just like “Ok...I’m just gonna pretend like I didn’t hear that.”
Gosh Degrassi had some really good actors
Lol anyone notice the grown black man punching white kids at 0:05
i wish joey heard about mannys pregnency...... and i wish he was not happy about it. im not joking
Pregnancy**
Emma and Manny reminds me of Erica and Heather.
Who’s watching in 2019 :)
oof. the cringe why Liberty
Ikr!
Good Lord Liberty would you slow yourself down? You're allowed to take a break.
This is the one show that actually made me cry For manny
