Poor Gwen. The episode started out with her so happy and then at the end she was so heartbroken and devastated. As adult Ralphie quotes in A Christmas Story, "Life is like that. Sometimes at the height of our revelries, when our joy is at it's zenith, when all is most right with the world, the most unthinkable disasters descend upon us."
Maybe during the revelation, Will should've had a few flashbacks. Remembering when Bob told him how Gwen's condition pointed to a low birth weight for the baby, then Bob telling him that he wishes he could reassure Will that the baby will live but just doesn't know, then Gwen saying that it's strange how she did everything wrong and her kid's fine, then Gwen showing up at the service saying that she didn't know why but just felt she had to be there, then the test saying that Casey's not the father, then Gwen saying, "The only way that Casey's not his father is if I'm not his mother.", then when they were on the run how Gwen looked at the baby and just doesn't see Casey's resemblance. It would make Will realize that it makes perfect sense.
Gwen's saying Carly is nothing to her but it's not Carly's fault that she fell in love with a baby that wasn't really hers, Craig's responsible for that. It's also not Carly's fault that her baby died. Whether or not Carly had waited for Gwen to get back, it wouldn't have changed anything, the baby still would've been taken away and she still would've learned that her baby died. Nothing can change that. She's just blaming Carly because she's so heartbroken and wants someone to blame and be mad at.
Jack: We couldn't go against the court order. Gwen:(pointing to Carly) But you could break the law for her! Breaking the law the for Carly is part of the reason why Jack couldn't go against the court order. He's been suspended(without pay) from the police force and is now under investigation by Internal Affairs. If he had gone against the court order, he would've ended up in much more trouble.
Emily is a very poorly written character lately. She has no backbone, she has no morality, she has no self respect, she has no common sense. What happened to her that made her susceptible to Paul's charm? She is willing to give everything up (including her son!) for him. I don't understand what Emily is doing. What is wrong with her? I just don't understand. I hate that Jen had to find out about Paul. But Dusty hit the nail on the head...justice doesn't wait for anyone.
Gwen needs to be real. The majority of her pregnancy, she was irresponsible with her health. Luckily her and Will had a child when they were truly ready. Emily is so pathetic choosing Paul over Daniel.
Maura and Jennifer. So good. Cried my eyes out 😪😪😪
Poor Gwen. Her scenes with Carly were heartbreaking. I am happy Jen got her baby back but I hate that her happiness came at Gwen's expense.
I know as Hal said, it's a lousy situation. Life is just like that sometimes.

YASSS Tom, give it to them good!

Poor Jennifer missed so much of the baby's life. That must be so hard to accept but at least she finally has her baby back!
