They do not. OHKO moves always fail in tera raids, and moves like Super Fang (and others that cut remaining HP in half) do technically do damage, but don't halve the opponent's HP as advertised.

It's not because of fake out, it's because every battle had the same seed so as long as you used moves at certain times it would always hit

Explosion is much more powerful than Misty Explosion, which also requires Misty Terrain and even with that it isn't even as powerful as Selfdestruct
