No word of a lie, my Physics teacher watched Peaky Blinders because his ancestor was a Peaky Blinder. They were a real gang if you didn’t know and I live in Birmingham
They weren't real gangsters like in the movie. Real Arthur Shelby and John shelby only got caught for stealing duck after they got killed by Billy Kimber.
I never watched Peaky Blinders, so when I heard the song for the first time, I thought it fits the character of Flagg in Stephen King's 'The Stand' perfectly. That ominous music. I love it.

I too remembered it from Dumb & Dumber! When the old woman stole his Slim Jims and groceries cuz he said something smart to her like "Don't go dying on me now!" Lmfao
How can they not include this in the final series of Peaky Blinders........this IS the Peaky Blinders theme as far as I am concerned. It is not the same without it.
Love the theme tune, love the show, love the actors and their characters. Love everything about the programme and best of all some of it was filmed in the city where I live xx
About halfway into season 2 of Peaky Blinders and it hits me that more than their theme, this is Thomas Shelby's theme. The man manages to get factions that would sooner stab each other than talk to cooperate, deals with all the horror and trauma his type of work involves (on top of being a trench warfare vet), and still manages to hold himself and his organization accountable when he knows they mess up.
My late ex-wife was reading a book called Paradise Lost by Milton... I was listening to a mix tape (remember those?) that a former Navy buddy sent me from Australia. It had the Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds on it. My wife heard it and freaked out! "The MAN with the Red Right Hand is a reference to GOD and his sure judgement!" I told her at first I thought it was a western kind of thing, but the band was from Australia. We both enjoyed the song and the music. The lyrics almost seem to speak of "him" as the devil. The lyrics were written by Nick and the band.
“You know Rebecca, it doesn’t sound to me like you’re in the hospital. Sounds to me like you’re in a parking garage. A dark, deserted parking garage. But if you want to be in the hospital, I’d be happy to put you there. In the fuckin’ morgue!”
This sounds like something that you'd expect to play near an abandoned ghost town in the dust bowl of Nevada in the dead of night on Halloween night at the stroke of midnight.
The Judge... He stood around the fire and opened the eyes and hearts once again of The Gleeson Gang. They were entralled like Infernal Choir Boys, holding his candles and his equipment with questions that were given answers that they dare not reengage or deem to query.
@@josephperez2004 Jesus sat down at God’s right hand. People, some, do kill in God’s name. Probably why we need the “shepherd to separate the sheep from the goats”. It’s all in ourselves folks. Only kneel before God. Everything is just beginning.
