You didn’t seem to figure this out in this video, so I’m wanna let you know that you can turn off the gunpowder fuse by right-clicking. This still works if someone drops a gunpowder barrel after the fuse is ignited. I mainly pointed this out to prevent you from dying the way Liam did at 6:53 and to acknowledge that the explosion on the galleon could have been prevented by DropBearKing (Seen at 5:39) if he reacted quickly enough.
My fiancee and I chased a sloop for 20 minutes because it had just been at a Skull Fort and left immediately after completing (we'd checked to see if they'd just opened the door, grabbed the strongholds and left, but they hadn't opened it). Obviously we assumed they ran off with the key, and we had nothing better to do than chase them down and take a peek. When I finally got on board the ship, there was only one guy on board with two Hateful Skulls and no key. I killed him and he immediately scuttled his ship. He never sailed past an outpost to hop off and sell, never turned to fight, and ran half way across the map to avoid losing his two skulls only to scuttle. I do not understand.
I only ever sloop with my friend and our go to strat is steal the key in the chaos of fights then run away and drop one of us off with the key on some random island. Then you let the stupid people chasing you eventually sink you and see you don't have the key. Then you respawn and go get your loot, works every time, people are so dumb in this game and fall for any lie/ploy
Yeah there was a second sloop hanging out near the fort and both members of its crew were on the island. My fiancee swam over to their ship (parked far off the fort by a rock) and started bucketing water into their ship so it would sink without them knowing while I fought/distracted the two on the island. Then we went after the other sloop that had been at the fort when the skull went away. They probably did the thing where one of them jumped off onto an island with the key! A lot went on during that chase including the Meg showing up, and we're also not amazing at the game and don't know all the strats. But I never saw anyone jump off near an island. Oh well, maybe next time we'll best them! Probs not though haha
So they actually completed a skull fort... whilst fighting two players, and then, they stole their ship? returned the loot? and they didn't die once... Some realy Jack Sparrow style here
