I’m 39 and want to transition from volunteer to youth pastor full time. It’s been a 2 year stirring in me, wife/momma of 2… but youth ministry continues to call my heart. Love these videos!
I do appreciate this video. I will say that you should not entirely throw out the idea of youth gathering for the word of God without games and fun all the time. We've turned the gospel into programs and events and it's truly off the rails. I personally was saved because of Bible study at 14 years old. Hearing the gospel in a real way. It wasn't the programs and games. I don't even remember any of that.
My love for the youth keeps me passionate, seeing them have a community of believers. Something I really wish I had as a teen. Seeing them join in services and genuinely grow.
What keeps me passionate? Columbine High School shooting back in 1999, the boys who did the shooting. Knowing there are teens out there hurting and broken to shoot up a school to prove they were hurting inside not just from home, but from peers at school. Every teen needs to hear about The One who is the answer to their brokenness. Helping them to turn Jesus before drugs, alcohol, porn, or violence. Equipping our teens to share about Jesus to their peers or anyone.
Blessings to you both, had been a while since i listened in but at a very good time, thanks for the guidance through the scriptures, God has placed it all there for us.. how do i keep passionate? Jesus said in Matthew 28:19-20, to make disciples, and to know that youths are in the age where we some crucial decisions and habits are madefor our lives, why not give them the opportunity to allow Jesus to decide for them and form thier character and personality.
Hi Nathalie!! You are so right! This is an incredibly important time period for youth and their spiritual journeys as they are developing their identities.

Hi Raven! Thanks so much for reaching out! We are so glad you found our channel and are finding it helpful! Over the years I've bought curriculum here and there and just always kind of found it fell short. In my opinion, most of the messages intended for students are just a little too shallow. I love using the church resources page on lifechurch.tv. It's 100% free and I can use the sermons and resources as a jumping off point and then fill in the rest in myself. As far as the bigger purchases for curriculum, Grow Curriculum would be one of the best options. I hope this helps!
@joeldavila3185 neither is having a church building that you meet at every Sunday at the same time. Neither is having a nursery for parents to be able too get a break and worship God. We adapt to the way of the culture the best that we can. God gives us the creative freedom to seek him in the middle of our circumstances. Modern medicine, technology, and many other things are not in the Bible yet we have them in our world and don't have clear guidance on them so we do the best that we can. Come on dude, don't be that guy.

@steelertalk - I actually don't think there is a difference. I think different churches just call the same job different things.
Youth only pastor is not biblical.
