I would be very cautious with staking for now. I would not stake more than 25% of my coins at this point. You just never know what could happen when the SHTF. This was probably the most grounded and realistic approach to the xrp moon hype I've heard on TH-cam in 3 years. Not caught up in the riddles and hype and flip the switch and all the money stuff (which in my assessment is going to come to fruition) but with the real world implications of the people who will be the last retail holders standing. Yes, most of us should make an exit and hold strategy. Figure out how much you cash/$ you need or want to pay bills and become somewhat secure AND how much XRP you can or will hold long term. Plan to take some profits on the way up in percentage increments at price points to do what you need to do. THEN HODL a good amount for long term wealth. In other words, some profits should be taken, IMO.
There’s something you’re missing. The banks will be responsible for selling and buying crypto when this happens. But they will only buy and sell wholesale. You can easily go broke with them doing that. I can’t remember what document I seen that info online but if I come across it again I will post it. Their document didn’t say how many is considered wholesale. That’s my main concern. It could easily be 2000 is wholesale. 😭

If the value gets to $10,000 per token that would give XRP a $1,000,000,000,000,000 or 1 quadrillion market cap. Total global wealth is only $431 trillion. XRP would only need another 2,320 functioning earths to complete that.
Makes sense.... You have 10million in xrp in your cold wallet.... Take out a bank loan for 5million, stake the other 5million in xrp.... 5 million from the bank tax free, use part of the monthly income from the staking to pay the loan back each month. Pocket the difference from that staking....

I would want to diversify, so dividends from the biggest stocks, rental properties, land, maybe leave a pot to do a housing project once a year etc. Alongside the staking, which I do agree with of course.

And soon you'll be able to stake the same pot multiple pools(?) simultaneously via defi. And defi is trustless

Swift deal with transfers between currency's for banks, and swift deals with 7 trillion per day. XRP and other ISP tokens are being adopted by banks around the world. I always here this, why would I convert my XRP to USD? Well one reason I would, is to be servicing any outstanding debts I have, which are in US Dollars. Currently we cannot service this debt in XRP, hence a mortgage, credit cards, and any other loans you may have. These debts are serviced in your national currency. So in that case I would be "taking profit" to service those debts unless the banks are then using XRP. At this point, then I could borrow against my holdings and pay it that way, though In the meantime, this is why I would cash out a little bit to service my debt. On the other hand, cashing out, to cash out to hold dollars? Then yes I agree with you, I would never do that, because you're swapping into something less valuable like you've mentioned before.
I just want to buy a house. I'm 54 and have never been a property owner. If I can buy enough xrp (or ALGO or GALA) and wait until the market rises enough to buy my first home, then how do I manage to buy it without selling my crypto? My only goal in crypto is to buy a home and have some financial freedom to retire. I'm not in the best of heath and I'm VERY tired.

No, its about insuring your assets. Major banking insitutuions will be able to do so. Defi platforms do not have the liquidity to if things go awry.

This reasoned thinking applies other assets as well. Lottery winnings come to mind. Don’t go crazy, get investment advise.

I keep hearing about XRP and I have bought some already but if it truly is that great why hasn’t it been moving at all?
XRP is great, but the reason it doesn’t move is because of Ripple, which isn’t great. Ripple has notoriously dumped XRP on the markets to fund operations. Don’t get caught up in all the hype, for it’s nothing more than hype.

Your 1st point really only applies to Bitcoin and Monero. All these centralized coins or blockchains can just be banned by the governments especially as we move towards an all autocratic world. Nothing wrong with taking profit.. hodl wait for full adoption and become the bank. Then you live on interest f/staking or lending.
The reason they say don't sell, is because they know the top and take profits all the way up and all the way down @ 2%. When you are up and you are feeling astounded, sell half and sit back.
I used to show people on the Wikipedia website, the page where it showed the ISO 20022 compliant cryptos, XRP, Algorand and Stella, among a few others where there, all of the sudden it got removed from the website.

I always here this, why would I convert my XRP to USD? Well one reason I would, is to be servicing any outstanding debts I have, which are in US Dollars. Currently we cannot service this debt in XRP, hence a mortgage, credit cards, and any other loans you may have. These debts are serviced in your national currency. So in that case I would be "taking profit" to service those debts unless the banks are then using XRP. At this point, then I could borrow against my holdings and pay it that way, though In the meantime, this is why I would cash out a little bit to service my debt. On the other hand, cashing out, to cash out to hold dollars? Then yes I agree with you, I would never do that, because you're swapping into something less valuable like you've mentioned before.

I just want to buy a house. I'm 54 and have never been a property owner. If I can buy enough xrp (or ALGO or GALA) and wait until the market rises enough to buy my first home, then how do I manage to buy it without selling my crypto? My only goal in crypto is to buy a home and have some financial freedom to retire. I'm not in the best of heath and I'm VERY tired.
