Shams Alam Beach Resort Hotel rating Egypt

Welcome to our hotel review Today we are at the Charms Alarm Beach Resort in southern Egypt, more precisely in the Bali Mal Nature Park. The hotel is a good 1.5 hour drive from Marsa Alam Airport and it takes at least four hours to get there from Hurghada, so we do not recommend the shame Salam is located directly on a very spacious bay that is second to none. Diving and snorkeling are the absolute priority here, so maybe there is only a small pool, a single restaurant and all in all very short distances
Rooms are kept very simple and now really in need of renovation we would like to emphasize again that this is about our taste and we know that the Charms has a large fan community that distributes a lot to the employees and management first let's go on the great strengths of the resort and that is your bay it is an absolute dream for every snorkeling enthusiast and is aimed at both beginners and advanced there is a shallow sand entrance and a jetty because we simply love this fish paradise we go to the house reef ten out of ten points the service in the Charms is very different many waiters try very hard others sometimes not particularly in the lobby if you can call them that the service is below ground the choice for every service extra costs to come to the guest this practice confirm us then also other guests because only five out of ten points really very easy to improve also the food in the hotel is below average for Egyptian standards sometimes even worse only the Egyptian evenings are very good and surprised us but then we were also annoyed why it couldn't be every evening we were very dissatisfied overall and therefore give only four points
There is little to say about entertainment, there is a lot of peace and quiet in the hotel, the pool is unfortunately much too small and there is no animation and nothing is then too little, and therefore four out of ten points the price-performance ratio is perhaps for divers or snorkelers crazy still acceptable everyone else unfortunately does not get their money's worth here we therefore give five out of ten points overall we give the hotel 28 points and thus 2.8 stars we would not recommend the Charms Alarm for the time being due to the many weaknesses of the hotel these are very simple to improve and it could really be a pearl, but a lot would have to change for that

Das ist schön, dass Sie das Shams nicht weiterempfehlen. Dann bleibt dem Rest noch mehr vom wirklich abwechslungsreichen und guten Essen, dem lieben Personal dort und natürlich dem wunderschönen Strand und dem Riff 👍

Ägypten's Küste ist wirklich ein Traum. Besonders die Region um Marsa Alam. Habe das Hotel selbst kennengelernt und kann deine Bewertung sehr gut nachvollziehen. Schade um die schöne Bucht. Die Unterwasseraufnahmen sind der Hammer. Freu mich auf weitere Hotelbewertungen von dir!

Beim Riff stimme ich vollkommen zu, beim Essen aber nicht. Wir waren letztes Jahr 2 mal dort und fanden das Essen eher gut, für ägyptische Verhältnisse. Im Vergleich zum Hilton Abu Dabbab sogar deutlich besser! Die Unterhaltung zu bewerten, finde ich dazu richtig witzig. Wo keine Unterhaltung ist, kann man auch keine bewerten. Wir fahren gerade deswegen dorthin, weil es keine Unterhaltung gibt. Ja der Pool ist klein, wird aber von über 90 Prozent der Gäste überhaupt nicht genutzt. Fast alle, die dieses Hotel buchen, sind zum Tauchen und schnorcheln dort. Mit der Rezeption kann ich auch nicht bestätigen. Wir waren mit unserem Zimmer unzufrieden und es wurden uns sofort alle verfügbaren Zimmer gezeigt. Das vieles im Hotel renoviert werden müsste, da stimme ich vollkommen zu. Das ist mittlerweile bei sehr vielen Hotels in der Region Marsa Alam der Fall. Trotzdem waren wir bisher immer den den Superior Zimmern zufrieden. Die Betten sind super, die Klimaanlage funktioniert und es ist sauber. Wir waren 2018 schon mal dort und es hatte sich wirklich überhaupt nichts verändert. Wir würden es immer wieder buchen, gerade weil es ein Ort der Ruhe ist, mit unglaublich tollen Möglichkeiten unter Wasser!

Hallo, danke für dein Kommentar. Es ist alles wie gesagt Geschmackssache. Wir empfinden genauso und akzeptieren auch eine andere Meinung. Wir waren in gut 30 Hotels in Ägypten und beurteilen in Vergleich mit den anderen. So entstehen dann unsere Bewertungen. Wir haben ja auch alles im Video angesprochen und wußten das es eine große Fangemeinde gibt. Wer damit klar kommt kann auch gerne ins Shams fahren. Würden wir Freunden ein Hotel empfehlen sollen, wäre es halt nicht das Shams. Grüße
