Getting that delta up and out of the weeds would help with the low-angle radiation. One good option for that are the tripods used by photographers for lighting. You can set them up in seconds. They are stable and sold in enough numbers to keep the cost down. Some can be elevated ten feet or more. I use plastic electrical conduit the right diameter slipped over the base elements to give mine an even wider and more stable base. Having two elements 180 degrees apart tends adds to the stability.

Yep, hight is might with a Delta, and I think KB9VBR did that with his. I had experimented with this at home with various tripods but none of them could support the weight.

I still haven't used a delta loop, but hope to soon.

I mount mine on the 25' porta mast with the concreted ground mount. I am amazed at least at my location, how noise free it seems, just like bigger loops. And SWRs are lower on all bands. Also with a star washer in the mix the porta mast only rotates if you make it do so.

@@donausmus4281 Nice! This antenna definitely likes height for best performance. Good tip about the star washer, I’ll have to try that!

Worth it! Especially when it starts spinning in the wind! 😆

Did you pay more for the Mini instead of the Micro? Seems this is a resent option. Used to ship with the Mini but now you have to pay more or you get the Micro.
