Drill a hole in the bottom of belly pan just below DD drain plug. Then just spray any residual with brake clean.

Couple things, im NOT a sled mechanic but I do wrench my sleds. Current sleds, 2 2010 sno pros an f8 and a f6 also my son has a 06 crossfire7. when we drain the ddrive I have a small handle bar stand so the sled goes way to its side and can really drain nicely. I did not see you talk about flushing the ddrive and that is something that I was led to believe was extremely important. I do it every year and fer whatever reason my f8 that gets most of the ride time is very clean, I flush it once I and fill per the service manual. The f6 fer whatever reason (maybe because its mechanical) always seems to be much more dark/cloudy so I usually flush it three times, mite be over kill but it comes out clean and well its my sickness. Also cleaning the power valves every year is something I have read and been told is also very important to do every year. I luv em both, enjoy yours!

You want to flush the case after you drain the fluid before you pour the new stuff in. I weigh 260lbs and run my air socks at 60 PSI @ 75 PSI that thing will pogo stick you right off the trail when you hit bumps.

Thanks for the info. I had done this maintenance based off a different video done by a dealership. I assumed it was accurate info, but realize now that it may not be.

Great vid! I just picked up a 2011 F8 EXT. Like yours, it was well looked after and stored indoors. Lady driven too. Now I have to learn to take care of it. Cheers!

@@MtGarage The starter went kaput on the 3rd day I had it. LOL. Worn snap ring and the Bendix didn't retract. Wore the ring gear but it's not too bad because I shut it off quickly. Sounded like a bag of hammers. I used a magnet under the sled and found the snap ring. Ordered a new one. What a PITA to take the starter out of this machine. It uses a flex shaft with two goofy set screws on each end. One end attaches to the shaft with the Bendix and the other to the starter motor. Fortunately, none of the components are damaged to the point where they can't be used but what an awkward job to put it all back together. I hope to have the new snap ring today then I will reassemble everything but this sled will be pull start only unless I really need the electric start.

Hope everything went well for you! I have no experience with electric start machines but definitely sounds like a hassle. Good way to get to know your machine anyway

Thanks for making this video. Super informative. When you pulled the secondary clutch off, what was the technique or tool you used? What should I do for that? I have a 2008 F570. Look kinda like yours except air vs water cooled. Thanks for helping me feel more confident in getting in there.

Nice! I haven’t had to change a track yet, but sure I will have to someday. We had a bit of snow last week, but it’s all melted again. It’s been a weird winter for us, but hopefully we get more snow soon. Really want to get riding

Good to know, thanks! I watched a different video that had an Arctic Cat dealer do it this way, I assumed it was the right way. I’ll definitely have to do more research on it. Thanks again!
