    Hello mate. Im looking into this exact same chipper. Looks like it coped well with the thuja. Have you put much Norway spruce through it? Does it clogg up? Unfortunately spruce is our bread and butter work over in Sweden.
    Did you get the one with the little electric drive wheel to help you push it about?

      @@pain548 It's a Briggs and Stratton V-twin Vanguard 18hp. The engine is good and strong. The reason you hear it struggling is that thuja has a very soft wood in addition to all the dense greenery, so the chipper has a tendency to "bite off more than it can chew" and clog up if you are not paying attention. This is not a problem other woods. As you may be aware, this chipper also comes standard with a 13hp Honda engine. Frankly, I could not imagine running it with the smaller engine.

      It has 2 blades. The drum and infeed is very wide, so the chipper is very good at eating whole trees with branches and all.
