That was pretty fun! The Pro R 4 did pretty well on 32s. WIll do much better when I get my 35s on. Besides a few small side rashes, I did take one pretty good hit to the trailing arm gusset mounting collar but I was able to bend it back out with some heat and a pry-bar. Good times!
Love the content! I know Robby said they had a lot of Nannies built into the buggy that could be adjusted later. Sure hope they get that corrected for you. While the Nannies are great, the current settings seem very intrusive.
You guys need to reach out to the other SXS channels. You deserve way more subs. Dallin , you are going to be one deaf grandpa. The only time I open my exhaust is at Olds.
Check out the LSK suspension build. It’s a non-Smart shock car with upgraded arms and king shocks. Had I had the chance to do it over again, I’d go that route!
Ok thanks for the reply, so maybe R X RS model without smart shocks is the way to go then? I have to think it is worth it to have the 3.0 shocks on the car, unless you were saying that maybe the 2.5” shocks were good enough? if so maybe I’ll look at the RX model 🤨
Ive never rock cralled in the dessert but i feel like taking the belt cover off made things worse. Dust and crap gets on belt and its over. But again just speculing lol. East coast rider talking smack about west coast crawlers hahahah. Great video guys, nice job.
Its not designed for the rocks. Its a high speed desert rig. The Bandits wheelbase would work a lot better. But they definitely need to be clutched lower and the torque limiter doohickey needs to be tighter.
@@jimmace6148 that was not a wheelbase issue. The speed couldn’t pull its self in the rocks. The wheels were not spinning. Pror 4 seat did that one spot with his eyes closed.

Depends on your riding style. If you are doing a little bit of everything then pro r hands down. If you are duning a lot mavr Unless you are down to do a turbo kit on the pro r then pro r

Keep hearing people called Speed UTV's junk. I find that kind of funny, 50% of production Speed UTVs then enter King of the Hammers finished verses 32% of the heavy modified other brands of UTVs. No manufacturers have ever hit it out of the park on a new design and they all break everything, transmissions, driveshafts, belts, tierods, axles and ball joints. I'm not say Speed is the best out there but they need to be given a fair shake and time to get yhe bugs worked out before passing judgment on them.
To be honest, everyone was surprised that the Speed made it through all the obstacles. It’s a desert car not a rock crawler. There were other cars that took multiple tries, but I guess seeing the speed struggle is what everyone wants to see on this channel

I’m probably the only one to take the Speed in these chunky nasty rocks. As the later numbers come out, I think the reviews will get better and better. Not your typical UTV more like an off road car/trophy truck…

@@UTV-APolaris is in Northern Midwest, and one plant in Mexico. Can Am is Northern Midwest, Canada, Mexico, or Europe. Honda is SC Kawasaki is NE or MO Yamaha is Georgia So, all of them except Speed/Hisun?
@@milosusa Kinda really does. 100% Chinese manufactured parts assembled by Chinese workers in China is a lot worse than some Chinese parts assembled by NA workers. I doubt the Chinese parts content is in the majority for the other manufacturers. Logistics just doesn’t work well for it. I’m sure there are still a lot, but definitely not all or even most.
I don’t think anybody expected the Speed to be exceptional at rock crawling (hello a desert race designed it) Despite all the salty viewers 😂 I love my speed. They all have their strengths and weaknesses.
I wouldn’t judge the speed car by this…..dude isn’t using it correctly. You got to snap the throttle a little to get the secondary clutch spinning and locked into the belt (on any belt drive atv/utv unless it has a wet clutch as well Kawasaki and Yamaha use them) trying to ease into the throttle with the machine in a bind won’t do anything other than burn the belt up. Plus, the cover need to be on it. Clutches will run cooler with it and the cover has outer supports in it. They said he adjusted the clutch at the beginning of the video and has larger tires on it. That might cause some of the issues as well. Cool car. Dadgum Pro R seemed to do alright. Needed sway bars disconnected badly. Lol
In a previous video Chad tried to the crawl with the speed similar issues with stock clutch and tires. He also was revving it up and trying to launch but still similar issues before he could finish the obstacle. I will say find a speed owner and do the same trail I’ll bet he struggles more because Chad is willing to push it when most people would bail out. Also the cover is off because it overheats so easy and bakes the belts.

😢 You guys are hurting my feelings about my Speed car! Haha just kidding! We learned a lot that day about the drive train, and torque limiter as a safety feature to save the rear differential. It’s too long to be a full out Rock Crawler. At the end of the day the Speed pulled off the most obstacles out of any of the UTV’s It’s a blast to drive, and the plastics are very tough considering what I put it through…..
It's weird that chupacabra's car didn't seem to slip the torque limiter in his rock crawling videos. I'm wondering if your stuff is a little loose or weak. Is it a mechanical torque limiter or electronic? I'd be asking speed about it because it seems to be a little excessive.
I was the King Of The Hammers 2024. The speed car had four cars and they did not do good and the races. Most of them broke down or not even qualified for the finish too bad speed car.

You guess? It's on 32s vs 40s. It would have walked all the obstacles if it was on >35s, the only thing it ever got hung up on was breakover angle.

Tried with stock clutches aftermarket clutches big tires small tires. Either way it does same thing. What not to do is rock crawl with a speed

I love my Speed #97 too! The car is awesome! Just saw a new Dyno test and the updates have majorly improved horsepower!
Is that sound on the speed the belt skipping? Sounds like hes grinding gears all the time.

Looks like all of them did better than the speed. Speed also had to get winched out. Pro r did all of them. Pro XP beat all of you
