@@lelandmacdonald3443 I don't use any cheap Chinese arrows (including the ones that came with bow) because they are not stiff enough and are rated for up to 175 lbs. I use Easton Bloodline and they seem to hold up very well and the bow really likes them. It is possible that the Chinese arrows will work but are too light in my opinion.
I bought a ripper 415 years ago. I guess I'm lucky. It's actually amazing. Zeroed right in. Strings are fine. Just keep it waxed and oiled. Check fittings from time to time. I love it.
I'm glad yours worked out great for you. I ended up getting a used one from a friend for the same money as it would have cost to fix mine and it came with a ton of bolts and accessories and a case so I feel good about my decision. I might make a review of my new Barnett ghost 410 on here and show y'all what it's like.
I have the killer instinct fierce and had no problems with it at all did put a red dot scope on it though just because of personnel preference over crosshairs but crossbow works great on a side note using a crossbow bore scope scopes ot in quicker with less shooting
I must have got a good one. Sighted it in over a table rest at 10, 20, and 30 yards. Hits dead center with only maybe 18 shots. only problem, it passed through a 435fps target at 10 yards ruining a bolt.
I'm glad you got one of the good ones. I only bought it because of all the mostly good reviews. Nobody's perfect so mine must have not had as good of an assembly as yours. Good luck this hunting season! I'm excited about my Barnett ghost 410 I just picked up. Goin in the morning with my daughter to try and get some freezer meat!
Good deal. Glad it is now working good for you. I just didn't want to pay out of my pocket to get the bow shooting good, when it shouldnt need service right out of the box. I did end up getting a different crossbow used from a friend for what it would have cost to buy the boss 405 and get it repaired. I will probably be doing a video on it shortly. Thanks for watching! Good luck this hunting season.
I bought a killer instinct lethal 405 on sept 27th...on october 24th it split a limb while walking out to my stand...I wouldnt take another killer instinct if you handed me it for free !
Stop it quit spreading bs I have one and never had any problems with it and many people haven't one person says something on the internet then all the sudden everyone is jumping on the bandwagon many people love them but yeah bullshit spreads on the internet everyone wants to get some attention....
@@johnsmith-oh2xo I can give you the place i bought mine from and you can ask the guy about the pallet full of killer instinct crossbows that hes had returned with split limbs...He recommended a barnet crossbow instead, so i purchased it and havent had 1 ounce of trouble. So if you think its bullshit i suggest you talk to a person that deals with those pieces of s**t everyday instead of goin on the internet and preaching something u have no clue about...Have fun with yours ( until it splits alimb), lol.
@@Splitshot1 ya there’s like 5 as of 2 weeks ago at shop waiting on parts, limbs on those a lot are cheap ass made, models with 4# on them , straight up garbage, go out and cock it, put it in the cold for 2 hrs, see what happens,
And the cocker rope thing the hook on those should be facing away from you it will work both ways but i found less wear that way but like i said before whatever works for you or feels comfortable im no expert by any means
I agree now that I have my new bow. It's cocking device has a bar that keeps the hooks together and only fits up away from the rail. I'm still new to the crossbow game but learning a lot as I use it and hear from y'all that have more experience with them giving me advice.
My buddy has a different crossbow with a similar mount and that's how his is. Would you put it in the other side of the bow? I shoot right handed, don't know if that would make a difference.
Idk I just never seen a quiver put on vertically as apposed to horizontal like going across the bow limbs instead of down the stalk of the crossbow but whatever works for you really no wrong way to go about it
Got one several months ago. Sighted it in with no problem. Killed two big bucks with it during bow season. Best bow for the money.
Did you get different bolts for it then what came with it? I heard the limbs break from the originals

@@12waythereadventures84 Good luck hunting! This is my first crossbow and first season hunting archery.
I had the same exact problem. They gave me a new string and I paid 50.00 to get it put on. No problems sence

I shot the bolts that came with it and the string broke. I would not buy this again.
Just gotta get more experienced buddddd i killed a bear with mine
Think your quiver is on the wrong way bud
