Can you do a video on what your fears are as a nursing student, or nurse when working with patients? Like do certain things gross you out? How do you over come that? How do u remain confident in your work? If any of that makes sense lol
Some meds come in powdered form because when you dilute it, the med expires a lot quicker or loses its power! It's called reconstitution when you mix powdered meds with a liquid. :)
My cousin is in nursing school and she showed me all of the needles and syringes that she has and she taught me that you mix the powder into the slat water and it becomes practice medicine. ( I also got to prep a shot!)
Can you talk about the prerequisites classes that you had to take before getting into nursing school? I'll be taking them soon and I want to know what they'll be like!
Annika Mahan depends on what nursing school you are trying to get in. Each state has different requirements. Anatomy and Physiology 1 and 2 most definitely have to take. Psychology Math and English. Microbiology as well. Hope that helped you out some ❤️❤️
Can you do a video about the books you were required to have and the ones you opted to have in nursing school and/or the books you recommend for school and/or for the nclex exam? please :) also, i LOVE your videos!! I’m so excited that someone finally made a nursing related channel.
I have given medication that you showed where it was a powder during clinical. The medication bottle had almost plunger like and I had to push it down and there was a liquid that mixed in with the powder. I just had to roll it in my hand prior to drawing it up in a syringe to give via iv push.
So when you do clinical do you go to a hospital or does your school have like a practice room? Did you do clinical even in your first semester? My nursing course has a clinical after every class. So I want to kinda know if it's gna be at a hospital or like a clinical setting in school. I haven't started yet. Taking pre reqs.
Summer Brewer you have to go to a actual hospital. That is where u will get assign to a specific resident. You will have to go through their chart to try and figure out what is wrong with the patient. The only practice you will get is on Lab days. Hope that help❤️❤️
Someone below explained what the practi-powder was and there is a whole line of these items that are used by nursing students in clinicals. We put together custom kits like this for Nursing Schools all over the United States. Please visit our site at www.meaok.com. I hope school is going great!

you should do a get ready with me/ morning & night routine as a nursing student :)
How to balance life and nursing school. I.e. a normal weekend: how much time you spend studying vs. hanging out with family, friends or your bf.
