  • Ash, doing an Old Hollywood case? Groundbreaking. This one will have you spiraling through a whole slew of different emotions. It’s the case of Roscoe “Fatty” Arbuckle and Virginia Rappe. Back in the 20’s Roscoe Arbuckle, known as “Fatty” in his movies, was one of the most beloved actors. He and three of his friends decided to throw a Labor day prohibition party at a hotel in San Francisco. It was supposed to celebrate one of Roscoe’s latest roles and be a great time with all kinds of young and happenin’ celebrities but by the end of the night one party-goer, a rising star Virginia Rappe, would end up incredibly ill and would later die in the hospital from something that may or may not have happened to her at this party.

I know people believe in soul mates, how one person is meant for you. But I believe in soul pieces. So it's not just one person, but multiple people fit together with you. Like friends and certain loved ones. So maybe Ash and Alaina fit a soul piece in each other.

Have you thought about doing an episode about sada abe from 1936 geisha who kills her lover through erotic asphyxiation. Just saw a document on it. But really like the way y’all go in depth.

Way too many advertisements in this episode. Fair enough, content providers should receive reimbursement for their hard work and professionalism but arguably there's too much commercialism here. A shame, because I really enjoy your show, especially how you handle some very unpleasant things with sensitivity.

I hope that you do understand that when you say "we're working on some cool shit", "we wanna give you cool shit", you are actually talking in a context of real, good people being killed. The whole shit/bullshit talk doesn't sound good, or befitting the theme of the podcast. Very weird approach.
