I just sat here crying my eyes out.
This got to me more then Jessie's ever did for some reason, the raw emotion was almost too much for me even to face. It brought out everything I didn't wanna deal with. "the more I try the less it's working, cuz everything inside me screams no" I tried so hard to push my past out of the way it just kept inching its way back into my life. Reflecting who i was instead of who i am. Listening to this opened my mind for once, I always thought if I tried to be something I'm not then maybe the pain would go away.. But in the end the only thing that can take that "pain" away is your self for believing who you are is all you need.

Cali Dixon I have been through the same feeling once. I know how terrible it feels. Nothing really helped me that time.... Antidepressants, Counsellors, Doctors neither my own family. I made myself alone and didnt like anyone's presence. But one day a friend told me we often forget about the people who were always beside us and keep thinking and mourning about people who left us effortlessly. This really struck my head and I though How lucky I am to have such friends who were always there for me even when i lost my faith on them without reason . Then I thought how much I know about myself and how much I love myself. I found out I know nothing really cause all these years all i tried to be perfect to be accepted by someone who I thought loves/loved me but I was wrong. So I started to explore more about myself and correcting things in me and love myself more than before. Spent more times with people who were always there for me and trust me my life has changed. All I know that nobody can feel what I feel so I should take care of myself. I have learned that I love makeup and so I've started spending time with it. And today I am running a channel of my own. Not advertising though but Seriously my life has changed a lot. I always tell myself that Our happiness doesn't depend on anybody or anything....it depends on our activities and what we want from life. I'm really thankful for the sad part of life cause it really has shown me the real me and I am happy for how I am today. This song has really made me emotional and reading your comments made me write so much. Sorry if I'hv said too much :D Praying that you feel top of the world sooner.
@makeoverobssesion wow! thank you soooo much!! that was amazing to read and you are so right, it's so hard trying to find that happy medium between being happy and realizing not everything in life can make you happy. But it's about using your past in a way to build your self from who you thought you were. All those mistakes once were built up into this ball of secrets in the end makes you who you are. When you said" Then I thought how much I know about myself and how much I love myself. I couldn't even see that the real people who cared for me in life where always there, i just never saw it. I continued to let this "love" convince my self i wasn't good enough. When the only person you need to be good enough for is your self and god. Those mistakes shape you to who you are. This girl was on AGT. She was the one who cried after performing Hallelujah. I cired during that performance and I cried during this. She has a gift from God. Her voice is one that reaches out to others and she gets into the song. Her story is incredible. This cover is the best one yet from both of them!

"Its ok not to be ok" no sentence in the world helped me so much
I heard the nightcore version of this.... probably a year and a half ago? The first time I heard it, I cried. A lot. I stopped listening to that song for probably a year because of how sad it made me, but the lyrics continued to echo in my mind every once in a while. Today I decided to listen to it again. I've fallen in love with it all over again. While it's hard to listen to because of the memories and pain it brings, it helps too. I can see where I was when I last listened to this song. I was sobbing, curled up in the corner of my room, 2am, lights off, wanting to die. But right now, I'm okay. I've gotten better. Thank you
