I’m an OTP3 in Southern California. This is great video and tutorial. I have a hunch it’s either the roller/feeder that is causing the sticky paper from getting stuck. My other theory is the sticky paper manufacturer changed at some point.
When the rubber roller feeders wear out. they do the opposite when they’re wearing out they won’t let go of the paper.
My theory about the sticky paper manufacturer stems from the new Bixolon printers are getting stuck to. Same issue as the epsons. Some stick some down. More often all stick no matter how many times you clean them.
Problem is between the printers “NCR” or the paper manufacturer. They really need to look into this.
Great video though, I’ve never taken the epson apart completely to remove the cutter housing. I clean our printers at each store once a week and pulling thermal strip and blade out to good clean is good👍🏻
Just out of curiosity. lol can’t figure out how to remove the feed/roller. Do you have a tutorial on that. I’ve tried on old printers but I can’t do it with out it breaking.

Thanks. 90% of these printers that I get in for repair its the cutter thats gummed up. You cant really clean them properly without taking it apart. I am thinking the best way might be if they used precut labels that were peeled off and then the cutter wouldnt be needed.

    Hello,
    nice informative video.
I have an issue with autocalibration of die cut label paper and FEED_CUTTING position. Printer feeds not in the middle between labels, but near the beginning of subsequent label and during some cuts it even cuts a tiny piece of subsequent label leading to autocutter jam.
The die cut label paper we are using is 49mm x 30mm and space between labels is around 2mm
Tried manual paper layout in Memory Switch Settings Utility, but no matter what settings i try to set, always get error "Paper layout setting value is invalid".
Do you have experience how to manually set label paper layout or other solution how to solve this autocutting issue? Thanks!

No I dont on this printer and I dont have one here at the moment to look at, but if it was working and suddenly stopped then it sounds like there would be a sensor in there somewhere that detects the label gap. That sensor might be blocked with dust or a piece of label or it needs some kind of calibration procedure. Have you tried this reset...

@@Till-Man thanks for prompt reply. Yes, i have done reset and automatic paper calibration procedures. Printer is brand new so the sensor is not clogged. The strange thing that the native Epson utility does not allow to manually configure paper layout.. :(

@@mindaugaskiriejevas7480 I havent done any setup for label sizes on this printer so probably not much help with this. Can you set stocks for sizes in the printer properties maybe?
