Sal is bizarre. His performance gets worse after criticism, so he is not correctable. He deliberately interferes with the productivity of other staff and the general flow of the show. He has no concern for anyone and he is unbelievably oblivious to the implications of his excuses.

I think the most telling thing about this clip is it demonstrates that Anthony was always capable of producing a quality program absent Opie and Jimmy. Opie is incapable of anything funny, interesting or listenable without Anthony.
Seeing how Anthony torpedoed his career and reputation, I dont think he can produce a good show on their own. Say what you will about someone like Opie or Todd Pentigall, but they never got ripped off by retired police officer.
