Sandhyavandhanam has truly changed my life and I will be fore er thankful to three or four people who helped me to start doing this. Initially I was dazed with how long it was taking and was ashamed to start learning this so late in life but it is never too late to learn and do good things in life. Am truly content and blissful thanks to sandhyavandhanam. You both did a beautiful job by explaining though I felt the recitation of Samskritam shlokas seemed a bit rushed in some places. But overall a very cute video. Both of you are so sweet in explaining the background stories and the sincerity of your talk makes the video more lovable. Lord Krishna has promised in the Gita "Kaunteya Pratijanihi Na mey Bhakta pranashyati" - my devotee is never lost. Krishna is the great teacher of Karma Yogam in the world. When we offer sincere prostrations to lord Krishna, he will give us the energy and motivation to regularly perform Sandhyavandanam as a nishkaama Dharmanushtanam.
Even though I do not totally understand Tamil, I am listening. Sanskrit pronunciation also perfect. Some of Tamil words are nearer to my mother tongue Telugu. After achamanam, we do Keshavadinyasam with the 12 pure naamas of lord Narayana. There is an interesting story related to this, told by elders. In Mahabharatam there is a well known character called Jayadratha. His father was the king Vriddhakshatra. He was a very pious king, who regularly did Sandhyavandanam and thus received Vagshakti. When his son Jayadratha was born, an aerial voice foretold that he will do heroic deeds, but will be killed in battle by a far superior One who would happen be the unrivalled bowman of all time. When he heard this, Vriddhakshatra immediately pronounced a curse that whoever lets fall the head of his son Jayadratha, would in turn have his own head burst into a thousand fragments. Decades later, in the Mahabharata war, thanks to the illusion created by the Maha Yogeshwara Krishna, Jayadratha's head gets knocked off by Arjuna's shafts. Upon the advice of Krishna, Arjuna directs his arrow towards the lap of the aged Vriddhakshatra who as a Vanaprastha was at that time starting his Sayam Sandhyavandanam, in the forest. Unfortunately for him, he didn't do the Keshavadi Nyasam for bodily protection before starting his Japam. Hence, as he unknowingly stood up after his japam, his head burst into a thousand fragments. Had he done the nyasam beforehand, Krishna would have needed to devise some other means of fulfilling that curse. Hence this nyasam is a very protective shield, covering all significant parts of our body.

First of all, I appreciate both of you for your efforts and knowledge sharing. For your information, I would like to correct you on few points in the story which you said. The Kovil name is Erindhuattkondar kovil (எரிந்தாட்க்கொண்டார் கோவில்/எரிச்சவுடையார் கோவில் ). The canal's name is the Kannadiyan canal. It was built by the Brahmanar as he got the Brahma Hathi Dosham since the kovil gurukal was died because of him. The linkage was missing in the story which you said for the reason why the canal was dredged.
Commenting on hypothetical situations. It would have been better if you had elaborated on scientific and health related benefits from performing sandhyavandanam.
Good explanation , however you should have included The main objective of Sandhya vandhanam ? It is basically or the jeeva nadi of Sandhya vandhanam is to cleanse ourself , to understand and realise that we are not this body mind intellect and ego , we are not even the jeevatatma as jeevatatma and Paramatma are one and the same , 🙏, also the ratio for pranayama is 1;4;2, and when to do it ? 1) morning pradha sandhya MUST BE DONE WHEN THE STAR IS THERE 2) SAYAM SANDHYA start when the Sun is about to set and finish while the star is just visible
