The vehicle with the tag on it is an Opel which as others stated was part of GM and sold here mostly by Buick dealerships back in the day. It was often marketed as "Opel By Buick" and they imported them that way through the 1979 model year.
For the daily driver, the two door Kadet had bigger front doors than the 4 door version. My father drove those at maximum speed often, which was 140 km per hour. After 120.000 km the car was totally done.
It reminds me on a kids joke, in this special case on Cadillac hill to find a Kadet. Because the European sized car Kadet was tiny compared to American standard size cars in 70s/80s, when someone asked; what is your father driving? We joked; he drives a Kadettillac.
The other Kadet you found one day was upside down. We looked at the front axel and the gear box and grill. It would have been great to have had a picture here for comparison. But with the 🐝 🐝 🐝 🐝...better not.
In southwest city mo there's a farm house that has an old Cadillac sadan DeVille it an old 54 in the field behind it it's been sitting there for who knows how long before I first saw it I would love to have a chance to check that old Cadillac out up closer and in person 😊
Joel wants to go Joel can do it…. And he wants to get in shape…. I would get tired of just sitting in the car….. I would rather adventure out and see what’s out there…. So leave that man alone and let him go….. He might actually be able to pull you out one day if you can’t make it up a mountain side….. you’re only older if you get that mindset….. 😊
I tried filming another video here but it's been 113-116 for two weeks. Not the heat im worried about its the distance and carrying the proper amount of water.
Opel Kadett Caravan (Stationwagon) 1,6 Liter 1970-75 i think.. same car branded as Waxhall in UK. Could even be an Opel Ascona A 1973 -75 Caravan 1,6 or 1,9 Liter, hard to say..must se more of the back of the car.
Opal Kaddett, GM based car built in Germany, basically a Chevy Nova, or a Vauxhall Chevette in the uk Nice to see Joel back, but he needs to behave!😂 Thom UK
Don't know, Joel looks like he could become a liability out in the brush. Should stay at the truck. Been on one hike years ago when a member of the group who should not of attemped the hike wreaked the whole trip for everyone by becoming an emergency.
That Cadillac is a 1963 or a 1964 and the pickup looks to me like a little dachshund not sure on the year and the opal looks like it could be a 69 through 72
I love your buddy Joel!!,and you too! You guys are are great together and I missed Joel!!
Joel took off like a super charged road runner.

Datsun 620 series truck. The body line on the door is the giveaway.

That truck was a Datsun 1500 of the 70'S.

I've seen quite a few Opels used for drag racing. Lightweight bodies move down the track pretty quick.
