      Pinagtanggalan ng dahon ng saging yun. Nilagay lang sa ilalim para hindi masunog ang binalay if ever maubos ang tubig habang niluluto

    I'am from Nueva Vizcaya and we called binalay as dendenlot or inandila.We traditionally eat this on holy week or all saints day. Just sharing

    Wow sarap niyan, bring back memories back home in isabela,,, ehmm suggestion lang po para perfect ang sarap... Hwag po takpan pag ngluto ng latik, para hnd dumikit at pantay ang pgka luto and continuously mixing hanggang mag mantika, patayin ang apoy once na lumabas na ang mantika then continue ang paghalo till golden brown yong latik para po hnd masunog and ma overcook, mejo bitter na po pag ganyan thnx ☺️😋

    Suggestion lang po, unahin ang latik iluto, tapos pahiran ng coconut oil ang dahon para hindi mahirap balatan.

      Or instead na water ang ihalo sa glutinous rice to make it into paste like. Try mixture of water and gata instead para di madikit sa dahon.

    Ginagawa namin mga ito tuwing Abril lamang. Nanggaling ito mula sa aking Lola. Kami ni tita at ako ay gumagawa nang marami tuwing hapon ng sabado, sa likod bahay. Isinasalansan namin sa malaking malalim na kaldero na may lapat na takip at lagyan ng tubig. Sapat lang upang masakop ang mga ito. Tapos, pakuluin sa loob na humigit kumulang o paligid na dalawang oras. kami ay karaniwang gumagamit ng mga pahayagan at mga uling, upang palakasin ang apoy ngunit hindi masyadong malakas habang pinapakuluan

      Yun nga dapat po kaso parang di malinis kasi yung nabibili dito sa palengke kaya muscovado powder nalang ginamit nila tita. Same lang naman sila.

      Margaux Margaux yes pwede sya substitute sa sugar. In short is panutsa, powder siya gawa sa sugarcane. Originally yung panutsa na nabibili sa palengke yung na form sa bao ng niyog? Yun dapat tutunawin for sauce kaso yung nakita ko sa palengke kasi medyo di ok kaya yan nalang muscovado powder binili same lang naman.

    Tama lang ang paggawa ng sauce kasi nung nagluto kami di nilagyan ng konting tubig nasunog ayun mapait. Nag ulit kami tuloy ginaya namin ito ok ayun na perfect din sa wakas.
