I've seen them but what I didn't know is that the pump on each side operates both barriers. I thought you had to open one barrier WALK ACROSS, pump up the other barrier WALK ACROSS again back to your car, DRIVE ACROSS, get out and WALK ACROSS, lower first barrier then WALK ACROSS again and lower the second barrier. Simple.
Wow, never seen those before! Looks safer than the classic manual gates, given you can lower the barriers after crossing the line from the other side, rather than have to cross the line three times (Open gates, cross, close gates) as per your traditional unpowered gate. 👍
Never knew such a thing existed! Thanks for sharing.
First time I've seen this type of level crossing! Love it! Thanks!
I'm glad you like it.
I like this one too mate. You get a good workout with it. 😂
Legend has it if you work that pump all day you’ll get SHREDDED 🔥
@@Yumbutteredsausage You can alternate between the two. Dominant arm then recessive (weaker) arm
@@Yumbutteredsausage We’ll have to play some Zyzz music when we do it lol
Love this one!
I know Cold Blow Crossing in Walmer which is a bit hands-on as well.
What a find, love it
@@sockstarnik thanks
So what happens if someone doesn't lower the gates?
Well, if you design it so that there is a slow leak in the system, it will eventually depressurise and lower the barriers.
@@eddiehimself Good point, maybe that is what happens.
Interesting video. Never come across one like that. Whereabouts is it exactly, please?
@@tomburnham5119 it's near Canterbury
@@jameswhetton5202 Thank you!
@@tomburnham5119 you're welcome

They should ask in Germany whether they get money for more comfort. Germany also gives money for cycle paths in Peru
