First time cruisers this coming January. From southern IL. Had our first one planned last year n Covid cancelled. Very excited!!!

Shore excursions- we have hired a small car before now. On Lanzarote once the weather in port wasn’t good but much better at south end of island so we hired a car and went to the south end!

Canada with mixed vaccines. Had first cruise booked Oasis of the Seas in the new year but deemed unvaccinated. Sad. Likely will not be able to go.
I'm so sorry to hear. I hope that by this time the Canadian "vaccine passport" for travel will be settled and maybe things will be better. So many people are affected by this - there has got to be a solution (I hope)

So great to see you together again! I only take a ship excursion on my first stop at that port. Always a sightseeing tour to learn about the local area and history. After that, I plan my own excursions. 😘

Hooks are awesome for families for one or two I don't use. Emma is young enough she doesn't have to worry about swelling feet. Wish we had the kettles on all ships

Those cookies are called chocolate digestive biscuits. The brand leader is McVitie’s but most supermarkets sell their own make or other brands but I think McVitie’s are the best. They are delicious. I like the dark ones best.

Interesting - I feel like we can do an entire show on foods we eat and love, and the strange sounding ones too 😂. I didn’t know you had smarties in South Africa :)
@@LifeWellCruised I am really lucky because there is a store near me in Tustin, California who sells foods from South Africa and Smarties is one of them. I definitely prefer Smarties to M & M's.

Negative covid tests vaccine info for mixed moderna pfizer? i would recommend taking excursions for all ports which are more than an hour one way drive or long waits for museums palaces art galleries; for shopping exterior outdoor sight seeing travel on your own

I’m not sure about the current info for that ship and sail date. Did you check the Carnival update from today?
Enjoy your videos and came up with a tip, based on my experience just today. While you can save on private or third party shore excursions, if you book through the cruise line and the itinerary changes, you're covered. If you booked through a third party and the ship’s schedule changes, best of luck to you. This just happened to us. We’re booked a dive trip on the Carnival Panorama and due to problem with its engines and hurricane Nora, the schedule of ports was reversed.

@@LifeWellCruised I booked it through Carnival and we're due to depart on the Mexican Riviera on Saturday for a week. Carnival will take care of these arrangements since I booked through them. My suggestion was looking at the pros and cons of going through the cruise line or saving money booking direct, this is one more consideration to make. Had I booked direct, I may have lost my money.
