YASSS, I finally did it! I made mine out of a sweater and just cut off the pockets and use the hood string for the elastic waist part and made my pockets out of a tshirt. Man, I wish I could show you right now!

Ha, I just did this... got things a bit too tight and a bit too short, but for a first try I am pleasantly surprised how easy it was (didn't do the pockets though). I was planning on making insulated pants from a leftover jacket and I think this will work. I'll just add an inch to all measurements and I should be fine #fingerscrossed

So I'm making mines from a hoodie pretty much same concept but when getting to the end the top portion of my pants isn't long enough to come to my waist, but I pretty much use the entire body piece of the hoodie below the arm wholes. Any suggestions??

I tried this tutorial and ended up with a lot of extra fabric in the back area and now I don't know what to do to make it fit like regular sweatpants. You don't seem to have that issue with your sweatshirt so if you can please help me. Blessings to you.

I attempted to make these and I ran into a couple problems for example the waist band was too big for my pants so I had to fix that. But I just completed them and they looked great but when I tried them on I have quite muscular legs so they where way too tight on my thigh where the sleeve is sewn on. Kind of disappointed they didn't work out

Yes I have a zipper foot that I use but once I get to the head its kind of hard to keep the law we'd lines straight since the zipper head is bigger
Nikole Jenkins Once you approach the zipper head, you can move it by unzipping/zipping it. When you do this, you won't have any problems.
These would look even better if you add a back pocket or like side pockets like cargo pants

I made my custom pockets but now I'm trying to add zippers to my side pockets its kind of hard since my zipper head is big .. Mist the black and gold zippers u usually find at joanns . What's a good way to fix this problem do you know?
Nikole Jenkins You need to get a zipper foot. It makes things a lot easier.
