Topwater Frog Fishing(O'neill Forebay)

- Late run to San Luis Reservoir(O'neill Forebay). The morning bite has been very slow lately so just decided to fish afternoons to evenings. Met up with some freinds and ended up getting on them. Found small schools of stripers pushing bait up against the rocks and was able to land some good quality fish on a towater frog.

Aye I’ve been eyeing calling the teckel sharker for a while! I just picked up the snag proof zoo dog and zoo pop they seem pretty interesting and super soft they should have a good hookup ratio
I just searched up those frogs you mentioned. That zoo pop really looks unique and good. Will have to pick up a few too

Hey, Isn’t there a hole right there where it’s a little deeper than everywhere else? And have you noticed fish that like it under the power lines at C13?

Thanks, yeah there’s a few nice holes and few humps out there that hold fish and the powerlines do always hold fish
Stripers like to stun their prey first and are just banging the lure on the first hit.Then they come back for it. Wait for the second hit. There's a trolling video that shows them doing it. In fact, it was shot along that same bank. Blew my mind. They hit it with their mouth closed.
Is there a boat inspection requirement at launch ramp?Actually I have a boat, thus my reason for the question. Thanks for your swift kind reply and quality reports!
Yes there is, I’d recommend launching at the boat ramp though. Only reason I launched from where I was at was because my freind got a camp site

Great video can you told me about the frog when I got it 1st time coming out when I used it was sinking 2/3 of them different colors when I talk to hook up tackle send me other one I don't know nothing about it because after that I don't use anymore

That rock wall was the best when they use to let you walk and fish there long time ago. It sucks that they had to close it down since 911.
I remember growing up, my dad used to take me and my brothers there. It was a long walk but the fish was good

Which entrance side did you launch from, 152 or hwy 33?
i launched from the 33 side, but i only launched there because my freind got a campsite
