I was involved in politics for 2 decades and I can tell you that politicians who are lending their support for fear of not toeing the line and its ensuing repercussions are making a huge mistake. Politicians can be overwhelmingly poor judges of what is best for them and get blindsided all the time. They should be very careful throwing their support behind a candidate like this. We used to say that: *Today's "stepping-stone" is Tomorrow's "set-in-stone"* meaning what you do today is the brush you are tarred with later on. If things don't work out for Trump, you will be judged on your actions of today, when it comes time for your re-election. A word to the wise.

I think the other half would be split. Some, maybe 10%-20%, would hold their nose and vote Mr Trump anyway. The other 30% - 40% would vote against him and possibly support Mr Biden. However, the SCOTUS will have the final say on whether Mr Trump can even be on the ballot. I think they will be quick about it, probably before "Super Tuesday."
