Shivneri Fort is a historic fort located near Junnar in the Pune district of Maharashtra, India. It is renowned for being the birthplace of the Maratha warrior king, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, who founded the Maratha Empire in the 17th century. The fort is strategically situated on a hill and offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Shivneri Fort is believed to have been built during the time of the Satavahana dynasty in the 1st century AD. It was later occupied by various rulers, including the Mauryas and Yadavas. The most significant historical event associated with Shivneri Fort is the birth of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on February 19, 1630. Shivaji's mother, Jijabai, played a crucial role in his upbringing and instilled in him a strong sense of independence and love for his land. Shivneri Fort is known for its robust fortifications and architectural features. The fort has several gates, bastions, and water tanks. It is divided into two sections - the Inner Fort and the Outer Fort. The Inner Fort houses a mosque, a temple, and a water pond. Shivaji spent his early years at Shivneri Fort and gained valuable military and administrative skills. As he grew older, he started building his own empire and eventually became the founder of the Maratha Kingdom. Shivneri Fort served as a key stronghold during the initial years of the Maratha rule. The fort continued to play a role in subsequent historical events. After the Marathas, it came under the control of the British in the 19th century. Water management systems in ancient forts in India were crucial for the sustenance and defense of these strategic structures. Forts were often built on elevated terrains for defensive purposes, and access to a reliable water source was essential for the survival of the inhabitants during times of siege. Here are some common elements of water management systems in ancient forts , Forts were equipped with large tanks or reservoirs to store rainwater. These structures were strategically designed to capture and retain rainwater during the monsoon season. The collected water would then serve the needs of the fort's inhabitants during drier periods or during times of conflict when external water sources might be cut off. Stepwells were a common feature in many forts. These wells were designed with a series of steps leading down to the water level, allowing people to descend and access water easily. Stepwells served as reliable water sources, and their design also helped in maintaining a cooler temperature, making them useful in hot climates. In some forts, especially those located in arid regions, underground channels were constructed to bring water from distant sources to the fort. These channels, known as aqueducts, helped transport water over long distances and were often concealed to protect them from sabotage during times of war. Forts incorporated features for water conservation, such as bunds and check dams. These structures helped slow down the flow of rainwater, allowing more time for it to seep into the ground and recharge the groundwater table. This helped in maintaining a sustainable supply of water for the fort. Some forts were surrounded by moats filled with water. These water bodies acted as a natural defense mechanism, making it difficult for attackers to approach the fort. The moats were often connected to the fort's water supply system. Forts had a well-organized distribution system to ensure equitable water supply to different parts of the fort. This included a network of pipes, channels, and outlets to direct water to various areas, such as residential quarters, gardens, and storage facilities. The water management systems in ancient forts reflected the ingenuity of the architects and engineers of that time, who had a deep understanding of the importance of water for the sustainability and defense of these strongholds. These systems played a crucial role in ensuring the self-sufficiency of forts, even in challenging environment.

यार सुमीत मैं तुम्हारे हर वीडियो को बहुत चाव से देखता हूँ क्यूँ कि मुझे भी हमारे ऐतिहासिक किलों के बारे में जानने की बहुत उत्कंठा रहती है । शिवनेरी के बारे में तुमने दी हुई जानकारी पूरी तरह सही नहीं है । शिवाजी जी का सिर्फ़ जन्म हुआ था शिवनेरी किले पर ।शिवाजी के बाल्यकाल में ही शाहूजी ( उनके पिता) ने शिवनेरी छोड़ दिया था । इसलिए वो संडास या बाथरूम शिवाजी के लिए नहीं बनाया था ।

भाई 30-40 साल पहले तक भारत में एक विशेष जाति के लोग सिर पर मल का तांसला उठाकर ढोते थे। आज भी वही सीवर साफ करने के लिए घुसते और जान गवाते है। ये भूल गए।

और इसमें जाति का बहाना बनाना बंद कीजिए, किसी ने जोर जबरदस्ती नहीं किया है ये काम करने को।
आप जिस समुदाय की बात कर रहे हैं उसी समुदाय के कुछ लोग आज अच्छे Post पे भी नौकरी कर रहे है।
अपनी असमर्थता को जाति के पीछे छुपाने का कोशिश किसी कायर व्यक्ति का काम है।
