That's pretty wild to think of. LSU has better equipment techs than top tier NFL teams.
I mean when you aren’t paying your players you can spend it somewhere else.
@@Agent-lr4ez 🤣🤣🤣 can't argue with that statement a whole lot.
It's pathetic, really.
@@Agent-lr4ezyou think they weren't being paid lol
@@cbreezy69Not as much as they are now let's be real.
If you're a 5 star, blue chip prospect, you gotta show them this. If they're really trying to go to the NFL, get the best gear while you can
Why do I get the feeling the NFL is going to find a way to ban this?
for real lmfao
I was just gonna say
Funny but doubtful
In a dangerous game the players would fight and win this battle.
@@noshotnova2432 I mean, they tried that with the helmets and that failed unfortunately.
Trust me they're getting fined
NFL new rule: _Anyone wearing non-league approved gear will be fined a game check per offense..._ 😅
They put that voodoo on em😅
big respect for that
That’s really cool shoutout LSU equipment team
Douglas Pads are the Goat of all shoulder pads. My first year trying them on were my freshman year of high school. Super comfortable and it just feels fitted. I’ve tried other brand shoulder pads but none can compare to Douglas.
Does JJ still wear his, or did the Vikings staff make em; we'll never know. 😂
NFL: That's a fine
MD has Under Armour this should have been standard practice for teams with the capability
Good thing imma Ravens fan so I never noticed Patrick queen did this
You’d think that would be a no brainer for pro teams & other football schools. Form fitted equipment
I don’t know any lsu player that doesn’t play in there lsu pads
Justin Jefferson and jamarr chase
The picture of Brandon LaFell is insane
“Superstar Leonard fournette” lmao
That was during the playoff Lenny hype.
I went to LSU and live in Louisiana. It’s amazing!!! GEAUX TIGERS
This doesn't involve you. You got an advertising degree from a bottom middle tier school in a bottom tier state
@@BingBong3.13salty much
@@BingBong3.13 lol why you mad 😂😂😂
The college is aight the state is horrible with racists everywhere.
@@DaBeast-ir3tmHe's right be salty
Some say the jets won't win a another sb tell joe Namath dies and i ain't wishing death on anybody but needs stuff needs to end soon in like the next 10 years
Do nfl players not get custom pads by riddel or smth? They make like $1200 pads that are custom fitted and stuff
Either OBJ and juice do not do it or they just do a great job of covering it up completely
OBJ got in a bit of trouble at LSU and has been quietly restricted from showing up. Since he can’t get into the facility to get properly fitted he probably has someone else do it. He was not banned, but after he gave LSU players money on the field after a win, NCAA made it clear they don’t want to see him at an LSU Game. Sad really cause of how much he changed LSU in his career here. Juice I am not sure why he doesn’t come around or wear them anymore.
OBJ wears Xtech shoulder pads and Jarvis Landry wears Riddell power SPK shoulder pads. During their college years, those pads weren't on the market so they didnt have them at LSU
That’s a lot of pads to work on, LSU has put a TON of players in the pros.
But LSU’s library. 😂
Has nothing to do with LSU athletics. LSU athletics take ZERO money from the state. LSU's athletic foundation pays for all of this. Older players also donate millions. I think Mathieu donated a million to academics and a million to athletics.
youd think the nfl would implement their method
Alway was curious about this, just figured it was a pride thing , that’s why I was always confused that I never saw anybody else telling a different schools pads
Kevin mawae jumped on shawne merriman’s leg and blew out his knee… after the whistle.. following jeff fisher’s orders..
Football is not a sport in Louisiana. It is literally an environmental, cultural, and lifestyle element.
TIGHAS!
And now they got air conditioner helmets 😮
Rip Devin white
Atleast lsu is good at something
we the best
this makes absolutely zero sense
??? How much money y’all make come on
Do they repair them for free?
NFLSU
They just have to pay for their own shit in the NFL and LSU does it for free. Literally ths only reason 😂
This is sarcasm right?
U lost me when u showed L. JACK! He played for Loui. Trust me I know…FSU FAN.😔
This aged. Devin white is far from a superstar
If only they could get them re-colored
Why? No one sees them except the players.
@@Ferrari_Fields when they are exposed, I assume eventually the NFL will make more strict uniform rules regrading colors
@@thethatcher9698 facts the no fun league gonna crack DOWN
Dope
LSU spends ALL of their income on football, that's why their students are so D.U.M.B.!
It’s not just LSU a lot of players from different schools wear their college pads
Makes so much sense now! I figured it was just the prestige and love for LSU but aye there’s nothing like a comfortable pair of shoulder pads
Same
I think it’s probably both
@@lukeiguess4815 yeah makes sense they get to rep their college team and get the most comfortable shoulder pads is a win-win
I’m a Alabama fan. But that what I call team pride. Hat off to LSU
I knew this for awhile. I mean it is an amazing recruiting tool. In order to get your pads worked on, you usually have to be at LSU’s facilities. They usually plan the time you get them refitted to the time that new potential recruits walk through. They see former LSU players now pro in the locker room, and getting taken care of, now they know LSU will take care of them if they make the NFL. Few other teams do that.
You're telling me the fuggin NFL can't afford to make custom pads for their players?? How's this even a thing. 🤔 💭
when youre pro you go more than likely go through a brand rep, the NFL doesn't supply equipment, and if you have to go through a brand rep and get refitted, why not just wear the ones you know work?
@@super8bitvideosno. Teams provide equipment. Thyebjust choose to use their college pads
A friendly reminder that college football is also a billion dollar business
Geaux Tigers
I miss Hester he was an animal.
Shot out LSU supporting their stars beyond the college ranks 💯 ✊🏾💪🏿🙏🏿✌🏾
But the NFL cares about player safety 😂
Thats an insane flex and probably helps recurit prospects, not that they need any help in that regard...
that’s honestly be the coolest reason it could have possibly been
Glad I wasn’t the only one who noticed this
That’s a dope tradition.
I love LSU so much, so many great players
Keep up your fantastic videos, God bless you guys
As an LSU fan, I love how we still help our alums in the NFL
Jesus Loves you
Jacob Hester is actually my dad. No one believes me but i don’t care
That’s lowkey 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Surprised some NFL teams don’t fit shoulder pads to players
Odell
As a Vikes fan, it’s cool seeing our colors infiltrate other teams.
Jk lol
Minnesota Vikings got their colors from the Washington Huskies
BIG FACT
@@dark8prince201 That’s honestly a really cool story that I didn’t ever hear about until now!
Hubenthal is our GOAT designer!
No different when guys in college bring their precision fit helmet molds to the NFL if they had em in college. Flex/vicis
Some guys may also use X tech shoulder pads and those can be fitted and customized and be brought to the NFL as well
There's no such thing as college or NFL pads. All the same brands and fitting. Douglas, riddell, schutt, Xtech, pro gear. They are not separate shoulder pads
Kevin who? It's not pronounced like that
I've noticed this and always just assumed they didn't want to break in a new set
I mean is their enough room for me to be a ravens fsn cuz my uncle been a ravens fan since he moved to Maryland in early 2000s idk if i can take it anymore i swear if zach million gets the starting spot and leads the broncos to the playoffs i will flip out idk if i can take this anymore
lions broke the booby layne curse cuz in 1958 he said for 50 years and in 08 the lions went winless that szn
The perks of not having to pay your players jackshit :)
W
I never noticed this
G string the legend.
Idk why, this just sounds like something from the University of Oregon
Jamal Adams isn’t a good example. Just saying #GoHawks
Hey, respect to those equipment managers. Not a group that gets much credit. But nobody can get a job done without the right tools. Mad respect. Clearly they put a lot of effort and pride into their work.
Its funny cause years ago i noticed this and wondered aswell
Burrow doesn’t wear his lsu pads
I always thought Fournette was wearing his high school (St Aug in NOLA) gear
Believe we bleed different in Louisiana 💜🤍🙏🏿👀🎙️💯
Shout out to LSU they let me feed them for the LSU Mizzou game this year. Awesome customers
Pronounced Kevin Mawai
They must be busy asf with all the stars active + every new recruit
I’m not the only that’s mentioned that is yellow, right?
I know a LSU player that doesn’t play in his pads
I think the guy narrating is also an announcer for a strip club.
They must go back and get refitted I can't imagine none of them got any bigger
Cool vid

Common LSU W
Kevin who?
I wore my little league pads all throughout high school! the red lining was a common denominator & the slight neck roll made a comfortable headrest.
LSU had so much fckn money 💰💰 💰
I refuse to believe this. You’re telling me no other college program does this? Or that the multi billion dollar NFL teams don’t do this? Lmao no
Great fitting shoulder pads are worth their weight in gold.
Now thats a flex!!!
Imagine a sport where hits are so brutal you need that equipment.
No
They all want to join the vikings
As coach O said so many times in the past, GO TIGERS!!!
Lol
I'm guessing it is but still is that legal?? Like the league doesn't fine them or anything??
Why wouldn’t it be if they fit the specs required by the NFL
They threatened a few players with a fine, but some people in the players association came at the NFL with the threat that players get to choose their protective equipment as long as it follows guidelines. This is internal protective equipment that is. Face masks have to look a certain way, but anything underneath jersey’s is free game to the players choice. This is to ensure that a player has the choice to wear whatever fits best regardless of sponsorships the team may have.
