I didn't know about Mido when I buyed the game and never watch any spoiler about him (I always thought that Silva will be the main antagonist). But, I clearly imagined the main antagonist will be like that : a mastermind, merciless, manipulative, who officially worked for the good of the people, but, in the truth, he was motivated by his own ego and his schemes will destroy the world...
Tbf, his goal wasn't to destroy the world, though. He was an extreme Darwinist, and believed Revenants needed to get stronger, and that the best way to do that would be to expose them to the terrors. That said, chances were he'd probably just end up getting everyone killed.
@@RogueSamaelZX but would it? If he had gathered enough power maybe he could help deal with the aragami. I don't know God eater lore enough to be sure of how the problem could one-day end but Mido ruined the world inside but all to try and save the outside world. He'd sacrifice much for tomorrow's dawn and believes humanity needs to ascend beyond their current forms to do so.
@@tbc1880 I don't see how letting the Aragami enter Vein could serve mankind. All I see is that Mido want to prove he was right and Gregorio was wrong by destroying the society that he built. Without the red mist, not only Vein would be destroyed, but both surviving revenants, losts and the incarnate of the Queen would wander freely in the outside world... becoming an another threat for the people outside.
@@RogueSamaelZX I see it as Mido wanted to perform similar revenant experiments but based on Aragami to try and catch up. He mentions how they evolved and became a stronger threat. How long until they can ignore the redmist and become too much of a threat that such experiments can't happen because acquring the necessary samples from the Aragami would bring obliteration on who ever tried. The Aragami aren't slowing down and Mido wants to play catch up before they can't fight back at all. I do think however the revenants would end up siding more peacefully with humanity outside because of how dangerous the Aragami are. And the Queen would probably be preoccupied with Aragami most of the time.
ng+7, me and my bud were getting sauced. that's when I learned he could be poisoned. never before have I cheered for poison in a game so loud lmao. also, the fact that he shares the same VA as zhongli? I almost want him to scream "QUAKE!" at me.
@@SurfieExtends for me this boss was waaaaaay harder than the duo, but that was because I did a no AI partner caster build only ...and Mido has 70% damage reduction in phase 2 to everything.
NG+ Enhanced is a different story. Gilded Hunter the combo king, Juzo Mido the combo god, and Queen's Knight Reborn the combo overlord are absolute HELL on NG+ Enhanced, especially if you haven't optimized your build. BB & Cannoneer is easy once you learn patterns and bring either Io or Jack
I faced this guy for the first time yesterday and was 2:00 am, it was quite the challenge kkkkk. I purposefully lowered the sound effects in the game, so the soundtracks could be emphasized, no regrets.
Good times fighting this boss. Always acted as support here, keeping Inhibit off my host and their AI companion and surprisingly, Mido probably knew this
Currently facing him in the depths - Tower of Trials II.. ..on the 6th floor, ..without checkpoints inbetween, ..on NG+, ..without a partner, ..me being on lvl 90, ..pretty much dying in 2 hits with luck, else 1 hit; sometimes even with that anker-talent (one-hit-protection) due to multiple hitboxes per attack.. ..having constant, utterly low damage output no matter the weapon or talent. Y just lvl 90? I'm solo "nuzlocking" this game and added the rule always to get only one level up per big mistle but don't exceed 50 levels per run (thought this would be "fun" as I started the game, little did I know..). What else to say other than that it's pure torture p*rn - the worst of its kind xD I need 20-30 minutes alone to get to this bastard in a successful attempt with the 5 previous floors of invasions and one other boss in the way where each death anywhere means to start over. I seldomly did anything more disgusting in any other game than this game the way I play it but since I started and completed the first run already with this rule set I'm way too stubborn to admit all this might have been a very bad idea - don't know if it's true but I'm sure it was a very time wasting idea that causes a lot of repetitiveness.
just came back to code vein with my friend, we finally reached crypt spire, fought great value ornstein and smough. finally get to my favorite amd second most hated boss in the game for me that drops my favorite weapon, proceed to get fucked for an hour trying to beat mido on his end, since he kept getting inhibited. i'm still seriously upset this ins't on spotifiy it's my favorite theme

@@Alex-hy9cw I also did no AI partner but not with a caster only build. Having an AI partner is for casuals. They give you huge openings to attack.
