NURSE FOUND: Cops Left Crime Scene (What Do We Do?)

  • We are in Lake Isabella, California right now where Christina Murphy, A nurse, and mother of two, went missing 50 days ago on July 22.
Today we located her Toyota 4-Runner.
Jared located and dove on her vehicle this morning in the Kern River. He was able to use the river eddys to get to the back of her vehicle to verify all of the windows are blown out but unable to get to the front seat to verify if she is inside.
His entire dive was under 10 minutes.
The rigging would only take a few minutes.
As you all know, we treat this a crime scene the moment we identify it’s the vehicle we’re looking for.
Law enforcement and community officers were on scene for four hours before vacating and not telling any friends, family, or AWP why they were all leaving.
There is rumor that the dive team they brought in is claiming it is unsafe without even taking time to review the footage that Jared had available for them.
Originally this morning, when Jared met with law-enforcement, they did not want him rigging the vehicle for liability reasons, but never spoke with him further from one dive team to another to assess the situation.
If this was your daughter, what would you do?

    1. The father of her kids works in the sheriff's office 2. the car looks like it has been rear ended 3.law enforcement goes so far as to show up in force, WITH A TOW TRUCK then putz around for HOURS 4. didn't have the common courtesy to thank you or notify you that they were leaving the scene WITHOUT EVEN WATCHING YOUR VIDEO! For some reason they do not want this car recovered yet. Reeks of protecting one of their own.

No law enforcement, state or local, will step into another jurisdiction, without that jurisdiction's request. Even local politicians will hesitate and delay. There are two ways. Local media embarrassment and the Governor himself can call down an immediate order to get that car out. It's the only way to get action when you have incompetence like this. Or the closest TV media to embarrass them. It's the only way.

Jared - did you see her anywhere in the car? If she is not in the car there’s the reason for all the sheriffs vehicles leaving the scene because they knew there was no reason to hang around and pull out an empty car. An empty car would lead to a lot of pointed questions which would be difficult if not impossible to answer without big problems.
To the sheriff of Bakersfield, California - just to let you know how this looks to those on the East Coast; you’re hiding something and/or you’re causing your employee to be thrown under the bus for no good reason. Bad move; totally bad move.

They trashed him to the media saying parts were left out and his rant at the police just made me matters worse. Well, it got their attention didn't it? They finally showed up to pull the car out. Apparently, her friends don't realize what it takes for these dive teams to travel with all that gear, attempt to locate a vehicle, then gear up to dive, only to have the police just up and disappear without a word? I'd go on a rant too. They need to apologize to AWP and be grateful they did as much as they did do to help. At least he found the car. KCSO said their drone located it upriver. Turns out that was a very large boulder under water.

Around 5 pm Kern County Sheriff's office provided an update:
“On July 23, 2024, Kern County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue (SAR) Teams responded to the Kern River near Hwy 178 for a possible submerged vehicle. SAR deployed a drone, cameras, and vessels to determine if there were any occupants in the vehicle. Due to clarity of water, unsafe water conditions, and high-water levels SAR was unable to complete the recovery or determine if any occupants were in the vehicle.
SAR has been out to the location weekly to check the depth and flow of water, but CFS (cubic feet per second) has been too high. Due to the dangerous conditions, the divers were not able to conduct a recovery mission.
SAR has been in regular contact with the water master from the Army Corps to monitor water levels until it is acceptable for a dive team to go in safely.
Today, September 10, 2024, SAR divers evaluated the vehicle and determined it is still too dangerous of a mission for our divers. 😂😂 This is a Joke

My bet is they have a hard fast protocol on the CFPM from the Army Corps of Engineers at the dam that they will go in and it's "no go" otherwise.
