-It is called sticky rice, a kind of confectionary. The turmeric gives colour and a unique flavour. The other colour is from a plant that is boiled. From what i understand it is quite sweet. the plain rice acts as a balance. An asian lady I know would make it and bring it to work. Very delicious. Hope that helps.
