yeah just like King says Blos Bow is indeed a good investment in general. Still, I can sympathize with you because I struggle with 8* water-weak monsters too, so in my personal opinion, i advise you to invest in your elemental weapons instead Blos Bow. Why? because with strong water/fire weapons, you can farm WGS more easily from pesky monsters like Giros, Tobi, and Anjanath. Trust me I know your pain and Hunting those 3 monsters with bow and trying to aim their weakness is painfull due to how small their weak spot and how fast these creatures are..
The build I use in this example is used for damage comparison purposes because its the highest in terms of damage. The 3 Kushala piece I made a few days ago is still the best armor build overall.
I can't tell you how disappointed I was to see that the 2nd super weapon to enter the game was another bow! Huge fail from Niantic/Capcom in that department. It's almost starting to feel forced. And at some point I feel like the bow is going to be looked at as the "training wheels weapon" or the "Easy Mode Weapon." That aside... I do love being able to opt into pierce with the Daora bow when the monster moves out of spread range. But c'mon Niantic/Capcom... give the other weapon users a fancy new toy to play with.
It’s not forced at all really. You need to grind two of the hardest monsters in the game and that is enough to drive a majority of players away. Its nice to see how get some love in a game considering its always had somewhat of a bad rep in main series outside of speed running.
im new to game aside from kushala bow and BDB what should I get while waiting for the black diablo event? im currently on bone gun lance build approx 2 week playing but i want to switch for bow type @kingofcharmanders
Little off topic but I have a question regarding Rathian bow. Is that still a viable option against Deviljho and Kushala since the update with poison and how it stacks? Or is that weapon nerfed? Thanks for all you do.
Its a little slower, but I've killed plenty of Kushala with Poison users since the 6/10 update. Its just still just as good especially with Status sneak attack.
I actually prefer my G7/5 rathian bow over my G9/1 Black Diablos Bow against 8* Kushala. The poison tick is huge (almost 30,000 damage when totaled.) It's very difficult to match that much damage during the 2nd phase of the Kushala fight due to all of the required repositioning. That said. I still use the Cera Coilbender against 6* Kushala. The poison tick isn't nearly as big.
@@jonnytapasgaming9730thanks so much. Your comment gave me the push I needed to use my Rathian 10 1.5 bow. Phase 1- AWESOME! Kushala health bar melted. Phase 2-BAD. I was super ineffective. Do I have to just aim at head? I was trying to strike from behind with sneak attack 2 and got nowhere. We still killed Kushala but phase 2 was a real struggle and I believe my ineffectiveness in phase 2 played a huge role. I was not connecting with my shots. Thanks for the help, again.
@@tomyazwinski9597 ya weaker shots are ineffective against Kushala. Lemme guess you're playing safe and seeing a bunch of 0's. You can get super close, melee range and you will do damage and proc poison. You can play safe and hope your group carries you. I tend to judge my group early. If they can't win I exit and restart. If I think they can. I special near the start and try to build a 2nd special while letting the poison do the work. When phase 2 starts. I play safe until Kushala calms down a bit and then play close. Use my special to avoid impossible situations and plan to use a potion if things don't go my way. Rathian is Spread and has to be played in Melee range during phase 2. Key is identifying if your group can win during the first phase. If I know they can't I bail just after P1 so they at least get the rewards for "Repel". That's all they would have got anyway.

One of the main reason why bdb is better overall cuz yeah its high in raw i test it and and yeah all 9s exept kd(if there is going to be a 9s) can be killed unlike elemental that you need to change base on target monster and whats more bdb can kill some 10s too like elemental bow(req specific target too)
The compensation is calculated for super bow but what about variant monster charge 1 power 3 bows? Those bows, optimally, should be played for those charge 1 spam right? For example azure rath charge 1 spread 3 should be stronger than regular rath pierce 4 even though the raw data says the contrary. Whats more: pierce shouldnt have a penality in the calc? because you can have at best a couple hit on the sweet spot against rapid or spread (pointblanck shoot) that, optimally played, can have every hit on the sweet spot. 🤔
Actually the Lv. 3 at 1s will get beat out in long term scenarios. You can't charge side step with them so you cannot reposition when your spamming them. This can work against you because you have to over compensate for dodging versus what C3 D4 bows can do. This is just damage overall, it doesnt compute for weak spots so you can make the opposite argument that someone thats good at using pierce versus someone that isnt.

So I’m a LS player (meaning I might say something wrong about Bow) So stat wise KD bow looks outstanding against monster weak to ice element, but what about spread shot, unlike pierce that goes through the weak spot of the monster for maximum damage, I feel like spread shot end up with only 50% of the arrows hitting the weak spot (it’s so wide horizontal and it seems impossible to be accurate, especially if you must target the head or the tail) All that to ask you, how much do you think this will affect the efficiency of the KD bow vs Black Diablos bow !! It really depends how good the player is with spread shot. The reason why they nerfed ranged way back when was because spread shot was doing so much damage that pukei bow users can take out high end monsters easier than they can now. For monsters with wings its easier to fire, but it definitely takes a whole lot of practice. Either way, Spread has the highest damage output out of all the shot types and most/all of the shots can hit weakpoints. Depending on where you aim with pierce, you'll end up hitting weakspots for the first 2-3 hits then you go back to normal spots. So if you get good at it, Spread will actually overtake Pierce. The only caveat is that your closer to the monster so you have to be more aware of their close range attacks so it forces you to play better than you would engaging a monster with Blos bow.
Not really...I mean you can use it with Artillery, but your better off procing burst if your doing everything and not just the charged shot style. In fact, burst is more useful with charged GL if you can proc it anyways since you'll do damage within the 4 second timer.
@@KINGOFCHARMANDERS i don't know, i just try to catch Jho GL. Coz it have skill artilery, so i can get that skill +4 with basarios armor. So i think charge Shell Will do more damage then another GL. (I don't think i can craft another GL coz i need focus to max my BD bow one more level to 10.5 haha)

I also have the 10.5 long sword legiana for ice weapon too. I don’t fight as many Kushala so I low on his mats. Just gonna focus on his armor for now. Maybe when they do his event or bonus, I will try harder to farm Kushala.
10.5 Blos will never do you wrong! Honestly, I probably won't go after the next Elder as hard unless its something I really need lol. Just really love the Spread 3 and I want to get better at close range!
Its something weak to Ice for sure. If its summer then my hunch that its a Fire Elder is a pretty high possibility. So Lunastra or Teostra is my bet because their weak to both water and Ice. Mostly Teostra because its summer lol.
I dont like bow either im LBG player and i enjoy it, it can be best bow as much as you want i play for fun not to be best MHN player, mostly of the time you play this game solo, maybe sometimes you team up with some friends or do Huntaton but if game isnt fun there is no reason to force you playing smt you dont like. My friends for example enjoy different types of weapons , one likes dual blades because of fast and cool moves other one likes Lance because likes more defensive style, third one likes Hammer because likes big numbers but bow is simply too boring, charge move shot thats all move set but in therms of numbers all yo u say is ok, like you say Char sometimes the best damage build is not the best build overall, same for us best damage weapon is sometimes not best weapon for us, keep up good work man
100% This^ ALSO I LOVE THE LBG!!!! I've used it for 99% of my Kushala! Best weapon for you is the one that fits you the most. Individual player skill matters so much that even the super weapons would suck if you don't play them well.
i think RAW damage for b.diablos bow is very strong but the important thing is elemental damage... if we skilled and knows the mons attack pattern it will be no problem handling these mons..

Blos bow is always a good investment no matter where you are at. Once you start using it and get good at it, its literally all you need haha.

Dang.. I built Light Bow Gun Kushala... Only Grade 8.2 so I'm gonna change it to bow. (Light Bow Gun is Good, but not great)
