This doesn't have anything to do with anything, but when you said flying car, it made me think of "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang", which probably doesn't make any sense to you.
Ok, quick history lesson! It's a long story, but Disney was originally The Disney Brothers Studios. Walt Disney was basically the creative genius, and his brother Roy Disney Sr. was the business genius who told his brother, "You just tell me what you want to do, and I'll find a way to make it happen!" The success of the company was based on both of them, and this separation between the creative side, and the business side, run independent of each other. It was actually Roy Disney that made the decision to rename the company The Walt Disney Company, because he knew it sold better.
The company really struggled though during the 70s and early 80s after Walt Disney died, and then Roy Disney a handful of years after. A different guy, Michael Eisner, took leadership of the company in the mid 80s, and restored it to it's former glory, and then on to become the monster that Disney is now.
The point of me telling you that is that when I was a little kid in the 80s, and Disney didn't have a lot going on, we were fed recycled old Disney stuff from the 60s. A lot of old musicals like "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang", "Mary Poppins", "Bed Knobs and Broom Sticks", "Pete's Dragon", "Pippi Longstalking", "Doctor Doolittle". Old cartoon movies like "Robin Hood", "Peter Pan", "Alice in Wonderland".
It's probably all on Disney Plus. You guys should check some of it out!

A lot of people think "Deep Impact" is a better movie because it's more somber and less cartoony.

To me, this movie will always take a back seat to _"Deep Impact"_ ... they piled inaccuracies on top of inaccuracies in this. It ruined it for me, watching them *running* where there is no gravity (which you need in order to run) and all the *fiery* explosions in space (there can be explosions, but they won't be fiery!) and some *seriously* stupid things with equipment ... and so on and so forth, with more that I could go into but won't, as people would be going glassy-eyed with it all! As it is, I'm going to get *totally* _flamed_ here, for 'ruining' a movie that some people put up there as being one of the Top 3 GOATs for Sci-Fi/Action movies. _"Deep Impact"_ had it's inaccuracies, but only *one* of them (un-like this movie!) produced an eye-roll 🙄 ... most were just nit-picky things.
The inter-personal drama was the best part of the movie - *very* well done! The 3-way drama between Bruce and Liv and what's-his-name was not only the best part of this movie, it edged-out the (very good!) inter-play in _"Deep Impact"_ with the mother-&-father-&-newscaster-daughter!

As often in Hollywood history, this film was released around the same time as another film on the same subject (''Deep Impact''). But ''Armageddon'' was more successful. ''Deep Impact'' is nevertheless worth watching. The actors are incredible and the film is just as poignant. Steven Spielberg was a producer, Robert Duvall is an experienced astronaut, Elijah Wood (Frodo) and Tea Leoni leads the film and Morgan Freeman, also known as the Voice of God, is the President.... now c'mon... The film is also directed by a woman, Mimi Leder, an even rarer feat at the time.

If it is possible for next month on December 7, for the Pearl Harbor remembrance day, try to watch the Pearl Harbor movie! That has Ben Affleck in it as well plus multiple other known names!
