    I like the format of this video. The visuals are helpful and engaging. It's a nice switch. Even though I've heard, or read, some of the content before, it's just different enough in a new package. It also gives your viewers an idea of different ways to present their material. You are a true role model for your product.

      This wasn't about book promotion - just a talk I was asked to give at an online summit. I give varying versions of this for a variety of conferences and just update it for each audience. This was nice and short (20 minutes vs some that are 45-90 minutes) so I thought it would be a good length for TH-cam. When I was rehearsing it I decided to record it just for fun. :)
      It does help me promote my book - of course - but that wasn't the goal.
      Thank you!

    The first thing I noticed was the thumbnail being totally different. Then the video started and I thought, "Where's Julie? Oh, down in the corner." Great talk! If my phone hadn't told me you had a new video though, I might have missed it. I scan thumbnails when looking for a video to watch. And finally, I cannot believe you were old enough to have graduated college by 2001. Are you sure it wasn't 2011?

    • @BookLaunchers
      @BookLaunchers  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      :) Thanks! Yes, I will get a thumbnail made up for this that is more in line with my channel. I kind of posted this on a whim to see what you all thought about it.
      I graduated my MBA in 2001 ... college was earlier. I feel 10 years younger than I am. I must admit I've paused a few times as we've added new team members because they were born around the time I graduated high school. That stopped me in my tracks.

    • @Drathaar01
      @Drathaar01 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BookLaunchers Lol! I've had a few adults tell me, "I wasn't even born yet." Not a good feeling! In the US, college and university are the same things. In Ukraine, college is High School. How is it in Canada? I thought it was the same as the US. I hate saying, "university." It sounds so British. Nothing against the Brits, but I'm American. I speak American :)

    What if now I am publishing my inspirational memoir in a different language? Can the title of the translated version be different? The book cover will certainly be different, but I wonder if I should simply translate the title I have on the English version already published or I can have a new title while still following the theme of the book. Is that ok? Or it's a big no no? The content will be the same just translated in another language. Thank you for responding.

    So she wrote one book and now she's an expert telling you how to do it. Imagine if Vanilla Ice did that to rappers after "Ice Ice Baby"... You can immediately ignore people like this who don't even mention worldwide distribution and only talk about Amazon as if that's the only outlet you should care about. Writers are leaving so much money on the table by focusing only on Amazon. It's so easy to get worldwide distribution.
