Haha love the title …cattle are such curious creatures …young ones will follow you like a pet dog and ruin everything …but it’s when they lick the paintwork on your car is when they test your patience 😁😁👍
Great choice of intro music Fred...my Mum's favourite...which she played on the family piano in quiet moments...great video on alovely day..thanks for sharing from your refreshed, flowing local river
River looks in fine fettle Fred, nice to see such glorious countryside and some nice brownies. Glad to see its not just me who struggles to hook those slashing rises.
We also have some stretches that suffer with "bovine blight" Fred. You can be fishing away quite happily and then the water just colours up and the fishing becomes a waste of time. Apparently they defecate 5 x more when standing in the water. I'm not sure how accurate that figure is but once is bad enough!
Yesterday I saw a few of them standing in the water , front end grazing the bank while simultaneously crapping out the other end right into the river. We are lucky that most of the river is agricultural rather than pastoral. I can only think of three fields with livestock but the damage they do is astonishing. Yesterday's herd seems to get bigger every year. ☹
Late to the party Fred but I got to watch it last night and, as ever, enjoyed it. I hate cattle :-) Actually the truth is I'm frightened of them. You did well to get, really, a lot of action and the river was looking lovely in the Autumn light and with what appears to be decent water in it. Despite the cattle it looked like a fantastic Autumn day out and that's what matters.
Thanks Philip. Never got out on the closing day yet again, the weather was impossible. Not the best season for sure, here's hoping for 2023. As far as the cattle go I'll try to eat more of them and see if that reduces the numbers. 😅
A glorious sunny day for a cast! Thanks for bringing us along!
A day for earplugs with those pesky cows bellowing non-stop. 😁

I'll have to remember that next time my car needs a wash! 😁
@@wildfisher 😂😂👍
“Rawhide”! That takes me back 😊
I could not get the tune out of my head! The show featured a very young Clint Eastwood as I remember! 😊
@@wildfisher Clint Eastwood played Rowdy Yates, circa early 60’s. I was a big fan at the time.
@@davidl5402 Man that takes me back. Family viewing in the early 60s on a TV the size of a Volkswagen. 😁
Well done Fred nice to see you catching a few and a lovely day for it.
Thanks I enjoyed it cows not withstanding
At least there wasn't a "cow 61" to eat your net and pester you Fred.
It's good to see you getting some end of season action on the local.
I still have nightmares about cow 61 Alex. 😂

Thanks TK glad you enjoyed it. 😊

Yeah the slashing rises can be frustrating. Moving down a hook size can help but one of the flies was already a 16, so who knows. 😐
Fred I'm glad to see the rains have your water flowing again- As for the cattle, a nice steak for dinner would have been proper. 😁
Yeah it was good to get some rain although it's pretty low again now. 😊

Same problem on my local many a day this season ruined , but what can you do, great video 👍
This herd just seems to get bigger each year. 🤥
Great video and footage.
Thanks glad you enjoyed it. Just the ramblings of an old man. 😊

Nice day out,......is the club not in contact with the farmers?
Atb from an old codger.
Most of the farmers are OK but I guess the expense involved in putting in fencing on land that has always been open grazing would be considerable
Hello!
Can you please tell me what kind of gear you are using, is it bought from China or somewhere else?
Hi there. In these videos I'm using mainly Sage rods (USA) and Vosseler reels (Germany)
ah, its you. I was wondering why the tubes was recommending me an old black and white western.
I did wonder how that thumbnail might confuse. 😁 I've changed it to something marginally more sensible.
when does the season end in scotland?
6th October, however a few places close on September 30th
Definitely annoying them cows Fred they destroy most of the bankings I would think the farmer should be warned about this from sepa
I think it's something that should be brought to SEPA's attention.
