Chris has stated that half the band (my bets on Guy and Will) really do not like this song. It became a single at the request of the record label, replacing one of the other album tracks on X&Y so it wasn't their original plan to have this song released as a single.
i just want to hear them cover it like the album. The song is perfect, it couldn't get any better. Why do they insist on constantly denying it justice.
@@philuhhh they never PLAY IT LIVE WITH THE DRUMS AND ALL!! WHY ???? all they need to do is have chris on the piano...even if its missing the acoustix rhythm guitar I wouldnt mind.
@@philuhhh : Red Hot Chili Peppers had a song called DOSED that has 4 guitar parts (the band only has 3 musicians..and only one guitar)....they only recently started playing it live after about 15 yrs...and they only use 2 GUITARS on stage ....the audience knows the song has 4 guitar parts but the audience responds anyway because they are just glad that the band is making the EFFORT to deliver. Coldplay's utter refusal to give us a proper version of HARDEST PART is laziness ! There is no excuse. They are a modern band than RHCP, they use backing tracks all the time during their performances. And like I said...THEY DON'T NECESSARILY NEED TO USE 3 GUITARS. Chris Playing the rhythm on piano and Johnny doing lead guitar is enough to get a decent sound. They play Viva la Vida all the time and there sure as h3ll ain't no violins on stage. They play Life in Technicolor all the time and I have never seen a Dulcimer on stage.
