How is the economy without doing plug in charge? Will it be like normal petrol car or hybrid car?

Mitsubishi is a great car brand. I got the regular gas Outlander SEL. Has been a great and luxurious SUV. Very proud of my RED BLACK 2024.

they should make the roof solar so that it will recharge by on parking

Given the Prius Prime's solar roof having a generous 3-5mile/day generation (assuming not at full charge else it's wasted) it doesn't seem worth it. I'd rather add an extra panel to my home.

Would be good if the wait time wasn’t 8-12 months

There's no wait time almost anywhere in the US and Canada. Most dealers have them on spot.

@@nikolayrayanov2895 yeah I'm in Australia 😔 I imagine the wait is mostly for the left hand drive models.
Went to place an order for one a few weeks ago, got told the wait time is 8-12 months so I had to settle for the PoS CX-60 based model. So disappointing.

That's a drag. Though if it's any tiny consolation, I believe you can get the 2 row version in Australia, here in N America you can only get it with the kind of useless 3rd row. Honestly if I can find a place to store it I might unbolt the whole thing.

@@nikolayrayanov2895Local dealer in Calgary here has 4 in stock...Only issue is that they are trying to charge nearly 10 grand over MSRP

@@adamcoe Yep, that would be called the Aspire here in Oz.
This is what i ordered, dont see the point of that small a 3rd row.
I was told 6-8 months wait when i ordered so will see what it ends up.
Most new cars in Oz have long wait times since Covid
My brother just got a new Ford Everest after 18 months wait
      Crazy down here

Several reasons not to buy the outlander PHEV:
    * 26 MPG when 38 miles of EV range is exhausted. That’s no better than an ICE vehicle.
    * Smallest dealer network in the USA. Repairing the SUV on a road trip may require a substantial distance for towing.
    * Third row is unusable.
    * Need to open drivers side door to make drivers side adjustment. Area is to narrow to fit your hand in for the adjustment.
Much better options for mainstream SUV PHEV are Toyota Rav 4 prime, Kia Sportage and Hyundai Tucson.

Here is a reason not to buy one - no spare tyre. No spare tyre is a stupid idea in a fourby.
