I’m a little late to the party. Just wanted to thank you guys for solving a problem on the BOG. I opted for the DLOW-55 head along with the V2 head conversion. Man this thing is a beast. Holds my PRS rifle like if it weights nothing. I’m very impressed with the quality and fit and finish of the product.
My tripod now has become one of my favorite accessories when I go out on the range.
Sadly I bought a BOG Tripod - IMHO it is garbage ! Everyone I know who owns one has had to call customer service and reassemble a product meant to be serviceable on arrival. I'm sure there are many loyal customers ... When they intentionally use a Carriage bolt that does not seat. That Is a Red Flag. Beyond that... It reeks of VERY soft Chinese manufacturing standards.
What do you expect for $150?
This is outstanding. This fixes my ONLY complaint with the Bog DG.
Any chance on producing a setup that skips the arca & adapter in the middle? I'd love to go from ball to saddle (less weight, parts count, cost, lower height, and less torque on the ball/friction lock)
For those of us that shoot a lot of ARs the arca really isint needed.
If that is something you'll be doing in the future, i'm in!
Would take a custom plate that replaces the top plate on the ball head that then gets the saddle screwed to it. Possible but we have no plans to produce one at this time.
If you’re shooting ARs you don’t really need the clamp at all. Can go from the ball head directly to picatinny or ARCA on the gun, reducing part count even further.
It should be highlighted that you do not want to tighten the main bolt tighter than hand tight (certainly far away from 20ft-lbs).
Does it come with an archaplate for you gun in the bundle

Will this work with the death grip infinite 360? The internal threads on mine stripped out and the top is useless now (won’t tighten). Tripod is fine, I’m just stuck with the ball head and tripod with a worthless top mount

Is the cap and hook the same thing that you remove to get to the Allen screw ? Mine has a hook

@@bthRUBICON well thank you but first time I checked I did not see it until I clicked on the tripod then and only then did I see it above the ball head packages
Would look much nicer with a bushing in the top that sits a few thousandths above the top so you’re tightening down on a flat surface.
Our V2 version is even better!
