They're dodging in because when you play against silvers/golds (I'm in silver/gold but i mix my dodges because of this) dodging in is the easiest way to get behind the opponent in their mind. It's nothing to do with panicking, it's just trying to catch the opponent off-guard. It's super easy to catch tho, almost as easy as spot dodge, so when i come across a person who dodges in i can bring them to half health off of one dodge read almost.

im not best player but this will help a lot "lance don't know what space is and its long asf" so play lance and u will have no problem anymore and i recommend roland he has longer sig in his lance
@@personwithawish243 I hate lance, my favorite weapon to use is scythe. I'm pretty decent i guess but when I'm trying to read or punish certain people after 3 or 4 consecutive hits I usually miss or get hit instead
@@personwithawish243 Lance is a terrible weapon, like really bad. He needs to be taught how to space, not to be given a weapon that negates space. He won't learn from that. That doesn't help him one bit.
Memorize the space of the move and before using it put an image of its range in ur mind and see if ur opponent is in its range If you really gotta do a move just backdash lol

4:14 in my opinion silver/gold players have a habit( I am in silver/gold myself so I know) of over-aggressing. As soon as they get hit they feel like they NEED TO RETURN damage, so they just dodge in. Either they are intentionally dodging in or they are holding their movement button towards the opponent, causing them to dodge in. Either way it's bc of overaggresion.
