I would love to hire this lady to work with my corgi. She is so gentle with the dog. I never can find a great person to work with my Abby. So stressful for both of us.
Ok someone help! My corgi seemed very hot this summer and I used a 4 and shaved him on the back of the neck & shoulders, but stopped cuz he was not having it- it looks bad and feels even worse I can’t stop crying I feel so bad!!! How long does it take to grow back?!! Please even message me on FB idc I’m truly upset and more so at myself. He’s all pokey scritchy now I thought I was doing the right thing.
Sometimes when shaved to short they can get overheated since they have a thick coat that protects them from the cold and sun. You can buy tee shirts that keep them cool for now
At this point there is nothing you can do. Not to be mean, I promise. It's just their coats are designed to be water and weather resistant and are a protection barrier. They're double coated dogs so you basically just disrupted how the coat acts and it's pretty hard to get it back to the way it was before. Now you know though. For future reference always do your research on the dog you choose to have and especially purebreds. Corgis are not for everybody and they do require some specific and special maintenance. They arent hard to groom in all honestly but corgis coats should never be shaved. All I can suggest is using mane and tail and trying to grow it back out but even then will be hard. They shed a lot depending on the breed (if your dog is a fluffy your bet is stronger on the hair growing back out) but the coats never really need shaving or hardly trimming. My boys almost 4 and has never been trimmed if that gives you perspective. Just please research your breed and honestly if you arent willing to do the research and do what it takes them I would suggest finding a better fit home. I get frustrated seeing so many people purchase corgis for the looks and aesthetic or because they're "fat and cute". They're much much much more than that. They're a beautiful, energetic, outgoing, incredibly intelligent and high strung breed that's pretty easy going but requires a lot of attention. They are not fat, lazy and cuddly dogs.
I came here just to watch a well-behaved corgi...
Pffft
Do you have a corgi?
a tip : watch series on KaldroStream. Been using them for watching lots of of movies these days.
@Jesse Kendrick Yea, I have been using KaldroStream for years myself =)

Where are you located?
@@BizzyBee30 MIssouri
@@222Dargent Are you near Kansas City?
I work at a groom shop in Kansas City, if you are near here I'd love to groom your Corgi. I own a Corgi and have a few regular Corgis who come in :)
Sorry no Washington Missouri
My corgi lays down for belly rubs every time i try the bathe or groom him. It’s cute but makes it a lot more difficult
Same!
The brushing technique is amazing.
awwwww. I love corgis. I have two, and I wish they were so well-behaved like yours, hahaha.
Such a beautiful Corgi. Why didn’t BillyJean get any treats for such good behavior?
❤️ Great video! Thank you!
They must have given this corgi melatonin before the grooming! lol 😂
I have some questions how often do you brush them and when you brush them what type of brushes do you use so you don't scratch their skin or hurt them
I want to stop you at "not currently shedding". That's a thing with corgis?
Do you have to trim them a poop Trail or is therefore laid-back enough that they can go poop without making a big mess of their butt
Ok but why did I smell wet dog while I watched this?
Would I have to this everyday with my pup.

I know its already done but you should never ever shave a corgi. Their coats are special and will grow back wrong if they're shaved.

Zoe would never her let me touch her feet
Can you do a video on grooming a fluffy corgi? Mine get such long hair on their paws we call them carpet-feet!
Jessica Hulen you’re supposed to trim it down
Our Amy loves grooming attention, but lose a finger if you go near her nails.
