I guess you have a new laptopwith UEFI BIOS, probably a NVMe SSD, that's way you don't see your HDD, you have to make a bootable USB flash drive with UEFI suppport.

Please provide more information: your PC model, what operating system was installed before, which operating system do you try to install, do you try to install from DVD-ROM or from USB, how many partition you have on your HDD.
@@redigitt Hey sorry for bothering, It has been fixed it's a dc7800 compact.
After flashing the mobo to 1.35 from 1.04 i got the AHCI data version in my bios and was able to finally start the installation.

@@redigitt I used rufus to created USB boot W10. It works on my other recent computer.. but not on this.. I enter in the bios, then boot USB Flash drive and don't work. Error code 0xc000000e

Aloha, I don't know your PC configuration, the USB flashdrive type (USB 2.0 or USB 3.0), how did you prepare to be bootable.
But for older PC's, I reccomand:
- update the BIOS to the latest version - with older BIOS, they somtimes can't boot from USB or taking to long time, even 30 minutes
- use a maximum 16GB USB 2.0 flash drives, sometimes they don't boot from USB 3.0 flash drives or from a bigger capacity
- and prepare you bootable flash drive according to your BIOS version, otherwhise it won't boot

If you have dc7800 PC or any other old PC, then you need to wait, because the old PC's are booting slowly from USB drive. And use USB 2.0 drive, because sometimes from USB 3.0 don't work and update your BIOS to, with old BIOS sometimes can't finnish the installation.

For years I used my ORIGINAL XP DVD to reformat Acer Aspire Desktop....now I got a HP Compaq Small Factor DC7900 Tower, and, it would just not complete the XP installation...it reads the DVD fine and then I get the BSOD....changed the CD ROM too...no luck! Help!
You need to change your HDD mode from AHCI to IDE or you need an installation disc with AHCI drivers.
But you can try to install Windows 7, Starter, Home or Home Basic.

The original XP CD come without SATA drivers and you get the BSOD screen.
If you try to install from original disk then you need the SATA (AHCI) drivers on FDD disk and hit the F6 key and load SATA drivers from the FDD disc.
In the past I made myself a Windows XP installation CD with SATA drivers because the FDD discs were unreliable. The pirated XP version has already integrated (slipstream) your SATA controller drivers into your Windows XP installation CD and now the SATA HDD is recognized, check in the description if there is some information about SATA or AHCI driver.
The original Windows Vista, 7, 10 installation disc come with the SATA drivers.
In some old PC's you can switch the HDD mode between SATA(AHCI - serial ATA) and ATA (IDE, PATA parallel ATA).

If you have HP Compaq dc7800 USDT it should enter in the BOOT Selection Menu.
If for some reason doesn't work press the F10 key and enter in the BIOS and change the boot order and save it, after the first restart you have to change back the boot order otherwise the PC will booting from what you select in the fist place.

If your PC is working OK, this should be work.
0. You should check and update your BIOS to the latest version if you are booting from USB flash drive th-cam.com/video/Ewx-3SM-JaU/w-d-xo.html
1.Prepare your USB bootable flash drive with Windows 7 or Windows 10.
For compatibility reason you should use a 8 -16 GB USB 2.0 flash drive, some USB 3.0 flash drives don't work with older PC th-cam.com/video/WuTNUHsvY6E/w-d-xo.html
2. Enter in the BIOS, reset your BIOS to the default settings, restart your PC enter again in the BIOS and go in Storage menu -> Storage Option -> SATA Emulation -> change from IDE to AHCI th-cam.com/video/7tMEwWjjJNM/w-d-xo.html

1. Why you want to reinstall your PC ? the operating system is to slow or the PC doesn't load the operating system, the PC is rebooting, crashing, etc. ?
2.Wich operating system do you try to install Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 10?
3. What kind of USB drive you are using, USB 2.0 or USB 3.0, and what capacity, do you have a status LED on the USB drive?...when you are booting from USB then you can see if it is in use or not( the LED is blinking)
I had some Kingston metalic USB flash drives that didn't work with some PC, the PC it didn't reqognized
4. Do you tried to plug in other USB connector, like in the back of the PC, or tryed to move a little bit the USB drive

Aloha, there could be several solutions:
- replace the data cable for the HDD
- BIOS update for the motherboard
- firmware update for the SSD
- sometimes there are some compatibility issues with some motherboard and SSD, then you replace the SSD to another model
If you have HP Compaq dc7800 PC then I suggest to make the bootable USB drive with the Windows 7 USB DVD Download Tool from Microsoft and use USB 2.0 flash drive, not USB 3.0.

@@redigitt the description of the problem sounds like this when installing Windows 10 on the SSD-Installing Windows on this disk is not possible. The hardware on this computer may not support booting from this disk. Make sure that the controller of this disk is enabled in the Bios menu of the computer.

If you have the dc7800 USDT PC and you try to install from USB then it is normal to hang 1-10 minutes on logo, because the PC is old. Use only USB 2.0 stick for installation, I personaly had some problems with older PC and USB 3.0 sticks. Let me know how it went.
