How long did it take for your application to get accepted after u submitted it
I enjoyed Part 1 and 2 very much. I was a student in Falmer, Sussex in the 1970's. My university room was much more basic than university rooms are nowadays. You have a very warm personality and this will help you tremendously in your future career. I too love tea, organic mulberry being my current favourite. It's grown locally here in West Thailand where I live with 15 rescued cats. I wish you an abundance of blessings and good health!

Wow you're so organized. I wish I was like that. I am looking forward to submit my application in the university. I was worried about the weather since I get depressed during rainy days, but then I checked the annual rainfall, and my hometown- Shimla receives 62inch more precipitation annually lol. I guess it won't be a problem then. Anyways, nice video😀

I’m moving to Manchester in September and goddddd all the accommodations are fullll :((( I wanted an en suite room but there’s only shared flats left. Some help in regards to sites and how to adjust would be really helpful. How was your experience living here?

Heya!! I'm moving to Wilmslow Park in a few weeks and I've stumbled upon some terrible reviews online and it got me a bit worried :/. I was wondering if you could share a bit of your experience and perhaps let me know what kind of room this is? :) It would mean a lot x.

Hey! I had a good time in Wilmslow Park to be honest. There's construction and renovation going on right now, so that might be a little distracting so some but otherwise it's a good place to stay at. :) Close to uni, excellent location, good social areas etc. I stayed in the Gold En Suite Plus room.
Also, having stayed in student accommodations in my undergrad and postgrad, and having had friends who stay in other student accommodations, I can assure you, you're never going to be fully satisfied haha :D always approach student accommodations with mediocre expectations, I'd say. If you have any issues with your room, you can always report it, the staff are quick and helpful. I hope you have a good stay :)
(If you can, then choose a flat that faces the park, rather than the interiors)

Very nice video! I am going to UoM in Oct and I booked this accommodation, can I ask you if the construction of the building is done, and do you know which block and which side of the accommodation is more quite? Many thanks!
Hey, thank you :) At the moment, the construction is happening in almost every block. But they usually keep it very quiet and to the morning hours, so it shouldn't disturb you tbh. But I think there's less construction happening from block A-D, can't be 100% sure. Don't worry about the construction, it won't disrupt your work a lot.

1)how is it there for an international student
2) is it easy to get a job there after completing your studies there especially after new post study work visa extension

Hi Shaishta, firstly, thank you :) I've answered your questions below.
1. Manchester is an awesome place for an international student, it is extremely welcoming and diverse from my own experience at least, and a super convenient place to stay at.
2. I assume that it is so so so much easier now. I only had the 6 month visa, which was during the peak of COVID, post Brexit and Recession. It really wasn't the best time for international students in the UK in 2020, and the visa made it only worse. But having a 2 year visa changes the scope of job opportunities entirely. It opens up so many doors when there's no need for sponsorship.
3. I already am back in India, and I work for Mindshare where I manage Hindustan Unilever's pan India Media for their F&R and Nutrition categories :) and my masters for sure played a big role in me landing the job. Hope this helps!

Hi, i was thinking of moving to Wilmslow’s park around August. I’ve heard there is construction going on at the Wilmslow’s park, do you know if it’s still going on at the moment? And I’ve also seen some negative comments about non-residence partying outside the accommodation until 2am, is this also true?
I was there around 2 years ago and I had a good experience, don't know much about the situation now.

Hey, I was wondering if Msc Operations & Supply chain Management a good course at UOM?
Hi! Most courses in AMBS are reputed. I'm assuming this course in AMBS is ranked amongst the top 5 in the world (QS). However, I don't know much about this course because I was in MSc Marketing. You should definitely check out the rankings and also the course content, esp the course unit list to see if it's beneficial. If the course content matches your area of interest, then do consider it. Hi, could you please help me with some good private accommodations and what the budget should look like for these.
First of all I want to thank you for making such a nice & informative Video. Further to it, I have 3 more Qs as UG student for 2021. I am very confused what shall I rent & where & also cost wise. 1. Can you please suggest which will be the closest accommodation area/options either its private or Uni accomodation to Computer Building (Kilburn). 2. Is it advisable to rent private or Uni accommodation. 3. In IQ - Can we stay 2 girls as what I can see there is only one room, please suggest.

1. Kilburn building is in the center of the university, right in front of the business school actually (where I studied), so the closest private accommodations would be Denmark Road, iQ Wilmslow Park, Ropemaker Court. They're all just 10-15 mins away by walk. George Kenyon Hall is probably the closest university accommodation to this building. Any uni residence that comes under City residences are close to Kilburn, like Whitworth Park, Weston Hall, Horniman House and all that.
2. It depends entirely on you, I wanted a private accommodation due to my own requirements like an ensuite room and all that. Both of them are nice, it depends on your personal requirements. In some uni accommodations, it might be a little small and you might have to share a bathroom etc. Choose based on your convenience.
3. Actually IQ has 4 to 5 rooms in each apartment. I only showed my room because that's the one I stay in. Usually around 4 people stay together and share the common area like the kitchen and the hall. My flatmates had gone back home due to the pandemic. So, of course, you can share a flat with another girl! :)

Hi! I don't really know but I guess it should be okay if it's for a short period of time, I had a flatmate who's friend stayed over for a few weeks.

Hey! It really depends on the uni and your application, and with the pandemic going on, nothing is predictable. Some people receive their offer within a week, that was how it was for me. But some had to wait for months. Usually fresh graduates have to wait longer, but I really can't give you an estimate. You can always email the student services for an update on your application. :) good luck!

Hi Sahil, I studied MSc Marketing from Alliance Manchester Business School! It worked in my favour, I have a good job in the media industry now. Can't speak for everyone in general as my batch graduated in the worst possible time: 2020.
What were your grad grades or percentage that got you into the manchester business school? I am going to apply this year for 2021 in the masters in management programme. Is the accomodation at IQ single sex?
Hi! I think the overall quality of your application matters, not just the grades. They also look at your CV, Statement of Purpose and Letter of Recommendations. Depending on the course you might also be asked to give GRE or GMAT. I had good grades in my undergrad and some work experience. If you want to know in more detail you can check out my LinkedIn I guess. Also, most accommodations I know are mixed accommodations, very few of them cater to only one sex. But I'm sure there are women only halls if you look for it. Honestly that makes barely any difference, I wouldn't really worry about being in mixed dorms.

Hii, I was hoping someone could help me with the application process. I plan on coming to UK for my masters but I’m not sure when should I begin the process. I have just begun my second year !
Hi! I would suggest this:
1. Start by looking for universities with courses of your interest. A good way to look at unis would be through rankings. I studied MSc Marketing in Manchester, and I decided on which colleges to apply by first going through QS rankings for marketing.
2. Once you have a bunch of colleges in your hand, go through the course and application process on their website. Every university has a detailed application process based on the course mentioned on their website, usually under "course requirements". You fill find information on your course, subjects and application requirements. For example, I went to the Manchester website, looked for marketing, went through the course list, made note of the subjects I found interesting and finally saw what was required for the application.
3. Make a final list of universities you want to apply to after going through the ranking, place, courses and fees.
4. Get all the documents you need in place - your marksheets, SOPs, LORs, maybe your GRE or GMAT if necessary, and start applying on the uni website :)

Note: There are many services that do the whole application process for you, one of them is Chopra's. I don't really see the need as all of it can be done independently, but if you need some guidance, you can always contact them or a similar service.

Hi. University fees is available on the website, and is entirely dependent on each course. Scholarship is subject to courses and your background as well, so you’ll have to check on the website. I knew a lot of south Asians when I studied in Manchester but we all had a pretty good experience. Of course there are one or two people here are there who cannot be changed, but on the whole Manchester was a pretty chill place. It is extremely diverse and almost everyone I know was really sweet and understanding. That's the experience most people had. Maybe the suburbs are a bit off but on the whole the campus and Manchester itself is very welcoming, it's a student town, so you'll be okay ❤

I'm going to the UoM this September and still looking for accommodation now, Wilmslow Park is on my choice list but I'm doubtful because after looking at google review, they said that the accommodation was really bad. In your opinion, is it that bad? people keep mentioning the bad services, maintenances, and cleanliness.

Hi! The cleanliness is entirely your responsibility, no housekeeping staff will clean your apartment, you and your flatmates will be responsible for it.
The maintenance is okay I mean is it the best???? Not really, but at the same time it's not as bad either. Just a bit delayed but you can get things moving if you push for it. All other services are really good idk why anyone would complain about it. The security is great too. There was a lot of renovation work happening last year but I'm assuming it should be over by now!

What is the scope for mim in uk
Hi! I don't really know much about MiM because I did my Masters in Marketing, but there are some good universities offering this course so I'm assuming there's enough scope for this course. I would still recommend going for a specialized degree though, I think MiM is too general with its syllabus, but a specialized degree might let you get in depth knowledge about a particular field. It depends entirely on your personal goals and what you're looking for in a degree.

Hey! Congratulations! :) I have heard good things about George Kenyon Hall, but personally I preferred a private accommodation over uni accommodation. It really depends on what you want, if you want more privacy when it comes to stay and better comfort, I would recommend a private accommodation. If you want the true uni experience then uni accommodation it is! They're both good.
