I too love the Benefit Gimme Brow. I use it to add volume and color to my brows. I let it dry & then use their product 24-hr brow setter. It's their clear setting product you were asking about. I loved your brow brush. Can you tell me who makes it? Thanks for a great video(s).
Great review Gemma :) I've been using the Essence Make me Brow product for several years now, it's my favorite ♥ The Essence cosmetics are exceptional quality and very affordable. Take care everyone :)
I love Gimme Brow! I've been using it for what feels like forever, and I keep repurchasing it. It's currently the only brow product I use. It fills in my brows very nicely and they definitely look fuller.
Sure, Benefit has a 24 Hour Brow Setter in Clear! I have it! It’s great! That’s the answer! This is the first review I have cued in on on the Benefit Brow Microfilling Pen. I think the three prongs are meant to be used in unison to give just that-an appearance of hairs throughout the eyebrow not to draw with one prong. Helpful hint I learned long ago: I fill in my eyebrows BEFORE I apply my moisturizer which is a tinted one for me. Works perfectly and my brows are well set throughout the day!
The three prongs make me nervous 😉😂 and not waterproof is a big minus. I would looove to try the Glossier "brow flick", but I have no chance to get it here. ABH just launched a new brow pencil (felttip) and I'm curious to try that. Thanks for this great review, Gemma! Love, hugs and kisses Sabine 😘
My brows are very sparse on the tail ends, not from plucking, but from thyroid disease. Apparently, not many people know this, but my doctor (endocrinologist) told me when I was diagnosed in my 30’s. I haven’t tried a felt-tip brow pen. It sounds like I would sweat this product right off in the Florida heat (or even indoors when the next hot flash hits me). Thanks for the honest review, Gemma, I always appreciate your integrity.
Firstly can we just appreciate how beautiful your skin is!!! I’m currently using the medium brown shade of this benefit pen and the jury’s still out. I have to keep the pen upright with the nib downward or it’s very dry. I’m still preferring my Charlotte Tilbury brow products. Sorry benefit 🥴Thank you for a great review!!
Hi Gemma, So I tried the Benefits Microfilling Pen, my shade is medium brown (I purchased it during Sephora’s VIB promo so it cost me all of $22 and change). I definitely recommend giving this a practice run first. I do like it but you have to make sure your brow area is void of any moisturizer and dry. That is why I always do my eyebrows before I apply my moisturizer. I like the look but in my practice, I will mostly use it for the front part of my brows to the middle and continue to use my angled eyebrow brush with my MAC brown powder shadow from the middle to the ends. I always set my brows with the Benefits 24 Hour Clear Setting Gel.
I’ll stick to my inexpensive elf pencil. Did you have a happy birthday. Now that we’re one day older we should be one day wiser. Your friend from Seattle❤️❤️
I was surprised to hear that the Gimme Brow would work on sparse brows, like mine. I always felt like I didn't have enough hairs, and that type of product would be too thick and heavy on me. I'm very encouraged! I loved seeing pictures of your day out on your birthday!! Patti xxx
Just an fyi, some women lose brow hair with menopause. I never really plucked my brows much but now there is only hairs in the middle. I think I might try this.
Next year, I am going to have my brows microbladed once and for all so I don’t have to fill them in everyday. I never over tweezed mine either. (I’m 67). To the contrary, my mother had the most gorgeous, thick, luscious eyebrows until she passed at age 82.
Oooooo brow brush brow brush!!! Where from please????....you look gorgeous and those colours on your eyes are spectacular and does wonderful things for you....
I bought the Benefit Brow Microfilling Pen because my brows are practically nonexistent. The stuff seems sort of greasy or oily to me, and the "strokes" seem to run together. I will only use/wear it if I'm going to be out and about and no one will get close enough to me to see that my brows aren't real. From a distance they look fine, but not up close.
Lovely eyeshadow Gem! I have both products and enjoy them but I live in Edinburgh so not much humidity coming my way! I have very sparse brows (thanks 90’s)!!
Completely agree with the comments for the Benefit clear brow setter. Its amazing and it doesn't smudge what you're going over like many of them do. You can pick it up in the mini size to try it out which is still a good buy as it lasts a long time. Like you I love my Nyx micro pencil. Really like the look of this new one on you 😀
So I got this from John Lewis as they are giving the 24 hr brow set free,I have very fair sparse brows & I got blonde I put the brow setter on first then I use the pen then put the setter on again and I love it,it stays on all day I left it on over night just to see and it hadn’t moved the next morning. This is my new favourite now, your eyes look amazing 😊
I like the gimme brow but discovered glossier boy brow and found it does a better job. Benefit 24hr brow setter is a fantastic setting gel. It's like super glue and does not budge all day.
I have tried similar products in the past but they always end up looking like I applied a marker to my face. I don't think I have the right touch for a product of this type. I wish I could get the results that you do Gemma. ♡
Ive been curious what you would think of this product. Another TH-camr found it great initially but then after a couple of weeks the prongs seemed to merge into one and were no longer defining individual hair like strokes as it did when it was new. The overall effect ended up just being a smudged mess when applied. Seeing as you are not wow'd by it either, I shall just give it a miss. As always, an informative and interesting video. Thanks Gemma :)
I had that effect right from the start. The prongs never produced hair-like lines no matter how much I practiced. I contacted my online provider yesterday so hope to hear back about a replacement.
Hi Gemma, really liked your review, thanks for the useful information. I've not yet used this type of browfilling pen despite having sparse eyebrows. I thought the results were so natural and looked really good, just a little disappointing that it wasn't waterproof.
I haven't tried the Browfilling Pen but I have tried Gimme Brow on its own and it wasn't enough - I think the colour I chose is a bit too light. So I have been using the NYX Microbrow pencil and then going over it with the Gimme Brow. If I want more volume to my brows, I use the Elf Wow Brow - but find I sometimes get tiny clumps. Gimme Brow is my favourite and I have the mini travel sized one. It doesn't come in 'clear' by the way.
Hi Gemma, thanks for this videos, was considering getting this but now I’ll go and the look at the Nyx one you use. Also please can you tell me where the brow brush you use at the start is from?
Hi Gemma I'm fortunate that I didn't overpluck (my mum did in the sixties and it was a cautionary tale) so I still have a decent brow, even post menopause. I love the gimme brow in shade one as it is the best colour match for me. Although I like both the essence and elf versions, they don't have the same shade range and their lightest product is darker than the shade one gimme brow I like so much. I only use a coloured brow gel as it gives me enough definition without pencils or other products, but I have a fairly decent brow to start with. My own brows are super blonde and the tint makes them more visible, but if they were naturally darker I wouldn't need anything other than a clear gel. For this reason I often tint them and use just a tiny bit of the gimme brow for a little more definition. It can most definately be a one and done, as that's how I use it. The pen therefore isn't something I need, athough I can see it being useful for those whose brows have gaps. Best wishes.
No i have tried either of these products. I use Boots natural collection eyebrow mascara like stuff - its great and its £2.49. I love the volumising mascara too.
I bought the microfilling pen today at Sephora (VIB days so I got 15% off) in medium brown. It seems like it would work mimicking hairs. Tbh, though I think I am going to have my eyebrows microbladed next year. There is still some light maintenance with that but not the everyday tedious filling in your eyebrows. (No, I never overplucked my eyebrows, but they don’t have that full look I desire).
Thanks for another informative video!!!! I don't think I would care for the pen, I live in a very warm and humid area for most of the year. I do however, love the Gimme brow! It's great. I don't know if Benefit has a clear version but I am pretty sure Kush and Wander have clear versions. I have used the Wander version and find it doesn't hold quite as well as the Benefit but it isn't horrible. ... Peace love and happiness!!!!
I use the Milk makeup Kush fibre brow which is similar to Gimme brow and they do a clear one Gemma, if you want to check it out. I’ve tried those three in one type brow pens and they don’t work for me, I just haven’t got the skill for it!
The words "very naughty" springs to mind! It's false advertising if they say it does something but in reality it doesn't. I so very glad you mentioned this "inconsistency" . Maybe it becomes waterproof when the Gimme Brow is brushed through, 🤷♀️. That said, your brows did look good (not as amazing as your eye makeup tho, 😍), 🌸💗🌸💗🌸
This looks like some thing i would use on my sparse brows ,but i bet it wont last more than a month . Btw Gemma Essence make me brows is a bargain alternative to the benefit one x
I just ordered mine in blonde....I am PRAYING it doesn't come out greenish on me. I have the MAC eyebrow pen in taupe blonde and when it dries it's greenish in color. I know alot of ppl with light hair and eyebrows have that problem with other blonde eyebrow products
I got the shade Medium Brown. It’s useless. I tried it before makeup, after makeup and even before skincare and it didn’t do much. It’s got almost no pigment. I still prefer MAC Spiked the felt tip pen over this and over the Urban Decay and the Estee Lauder felt tip pens.
Hi Gemma, I'd love a product like this that actually works. I tried some more inexpensive ones, e.g. the new brow pen from revolution pro. But they only work properly for 2 to 3 times. Then the color payoff gets unsatisfying. I use them before makeup, on clean skin (I wipe away moisturizer first) but they tend to clog anyway. What can I do? I like the results and they are quicker than normal brow pens. Help me 😭
In my experience the waterproofness (?!) of these felt tip pens seems to be massively enhanced if they’re applied on completely dry skin - before foundation, but also before skin care (or with skincare omitted around the brow area)
yes, i just commented that my pen won't show up and i think it might be because i try to apply over sunscreen, primer, moisturizer. it's a bad product for me because i have to wear sunscreen where i live.
The three prongs product is a nice concept , esp for thinning brows ,,,but I swear I've seen it before. I think it was a drugstore product, but not sure. Has anyone else seen this concept before? That Gimme Brow is worth a try!!
I used a product similar to this - one of the first of its type, by Laura Geller - for years, even had it on auto delivery. They discontinued it, and I've never found anything else as good. This looks good, as are most Benefit products, but sadly no gray!!! I am currently using the NYX pencil in Ash Brown plus Benefit Gimme Brow in gray, and they blend into a good grayish color. So maybe I'll try this in the light brown along with Gimme Brow - (brilliant product and one of the few that comes in gray).
Oh sorry. I used the original one too. Good to know they are not the same. Things have gone downhill since she sold her company. Thanks for the info. My old lady brows will have to look elsewhere. ⚘
It didn’t work for me either. I always have to use a pencil after this pen to fill in or complete the process in my brows otherwise it won’t look good at all.
Maybe I missed it before, but that necklace is seriously cool! Now...lol....I'm going to have to start video over...to actually listen to the content...lol....sorry...I kept looking at the necklace!!
Ha! Not spit proof! I like mine. I got blonde and it took a time or two to get used to it. But I do store it tip down. Seriously though, I’ve seen artist put spit on a cotton bud and they can easily fix mascara mistakes. I wonder if spit is stronger than water.
Spit has enzymes on it which is why it is useful for a number of cleanups on your own face only though, I often spin a cotton bud in my mouth to clear up even waterproof mascara. Nice but true x
I can't remember who else I watched and they did try that eyebrow pen on the back of their hand and a little water and the product was gone. Not sure how it lasted on the brow though. If I remember who the TH-camr was I will update you.
Shame on them... if you can can wipe it off with a tiny bit of saliva then I completely agree-- it is not waterproof at all. Dang!!! But it did work very good I thought..... I just feel like if I use it an have a tickle on my eye & touch it then I will not have an eyebrow after.... jeez not a good thought. Benefit.... you need to fix this!!!!
I think this brow pen is really bad, totally a thumbs down waste of my money. I have the light brown and it does not show up on me, even though I am very pale! It's so light and watery like watercolor. I think maybe it just won't apply over sunscreen or moisturizer, and it just doesn't show up if you don't have dry skin that has no susncreen, primer that has silicone, or moisturizer. Also, I have very thin brows because of menopuase and this product is just not enough. And it's definitely not waterproof or sweatproof. I went on a walk in the Southern U.S. and perspired a bit and when I came home what little had showed up was gone.
Dear Benefit, your 👩🏼🦰 over here would like some love! 💯 something I would use but none of the colors would work for me. @pamperedwolf any similar ones you’d suggest for us gingers? My 90’s overplucked brows need help!
I too love the Benefit Gimme Brow. I use it to add volume and color to my brows. I let it dry & then use their product 24-hr brow setter. It's their clear setting product you were asking about. I loved your brow brush. Can you tell me who makes it? Thanks for a great video(s).
Omg!! I live in Southern Louisiana and the humid would destroy this pen. Thank you for showing that it is NOT waterproof/smudge proof!
Muggy Texas here. Has anyone tried a setting spray with it? Like the Too Faced 3-in-1 Hangover?
Great review Gemma :) I've been using the Essence Make me Brow product for several years now, it's my favorite ♥ The Essence cosmetics are exceptional quality and very affordable. Take care everyone :)

I feel like at this point we need Pampered Wolf merch saying “You are so pretty. You really, really are.”
The three prongs make me nervous 😉😂 and not waterproof is a big minus.
I would looove to try the Glossier "brow flick", but I have no chance to get it here. ABH just launched a new brow pencil (felttip) and I'm curious to try that.

Stunning Eye Make up 👍👍👍❤️👏💃💕
NYX makes an excellent clear brow gel that I absolutely love. I tint my brows so I don’t need colour! xx
I use that one normally xxx

24 hr Brow setter by benefit is amazing have used it for a long while! No complaints and brows don’t budge. Thanks for great review 😊

Love your eyes! Gorgeous!

Love that Natasha Denona palette on you. Gorgeous. 😍xxx
The maybelline one turned green on my skin
You look terrific...radiant...love the eyemakeup!!
I need to try the Gimme Brow! I hope you had a wonderful birthday!
Using the Sleek powder eyebrow pencil in ash brown every day and it’s brilliant (and cheap!)

Totally agree with you I got the Benefit one & not impressed so I got Tatbrow & I love it
Can u do a video on the eyeshadow u are wearing? Great video 💖

Your eye shadows are beautiful tonight. I have eye brows but can only see them if I put mascara on them. They are so light blonde.
Wow! I haven’t seen one that actually works!
Thanks for another informative video!!!! I don't think I would care for the pen, I live in a very warm and humid area for most of the year. I do however, love the Gimme brow! It's great. What’s your eyeshadow here Gemma it’s so beautiful 😍
I use the NYX micro brow pencil and the Benefit GIMME BROW...as you do! Hurrah.
My hands shake too much to use either a pencil or a brow filler product so I use powder and the amazing brown gel and my eyebrows look fabulous.
What are the swim proof brow products? I need that ❤
Hi Gemma, love ýoure make up beutiful colors.Pencil look good, but no waterproof indeed.Bud not bad.Thx 🦋💝
I think it’s a no for me in humid Queensland but I did like the way it looked on your brows.😊
This looks like some thing i would use on my sparse brows ,but i bet it wont last more than a month . Btw Gemma Essence make me brows is a bargain alternative to the benefit one x
Thanks 🙏 from SA Australia 🇦🇺 Thanks
Benefit do a clear gel product for your brows to keep them in place 😊
I just ordered mine in blonde....I am PRAYING it doesn't come out greenish on me. I have the MAC eyebrow pen in taupe blonde and when it dries it's greenish in color. I know alot of ppl with light hair and eyebrows have that problem with other blonde eyebrow products
I love your eye look today! I hope your birthday was happy! Have a great day! Jul from Virginia
I live in Florida USA and this product didn't even hold up a half hour outside. Maybe during the winter months it will work better.

Help me 😭
Try and keep the pen upside down so the nib doesn't dry out. Do the same whilst you're applying xxx
@@PamperedWolf I'll try it between applications 😊

You've definitely seen it before. I reviewed one from maybelline I think xxx
@@PamperedWolf I really wanted to say what I saw was Maybelline...lol...just wasn't sure. Thanks for response, and of course for everything you share!
I had green brows with the brow blade in taupe trap shade. I can't use it because of that.

That product is available on QVC. Heavenly Brow Marker.
I mean the Laura Geller product.
Carolyn Smith Thanks - it’s similar - but not the same as the original one which was the Tri-tip brow marker in Taupe.
Oh sorry. I used the original one too. Good to know they are not the same. Things have gone downhill since she sold her company. Thanks for the info. My old lady brows will have to look elsewhere. ⚘
I think a brow powder works' best for more mature brows. Seems' to be a softer look.

Doesn't sound like it is worth the $$. Your eye makeup is stunning.
Put brown color /tint on blonde tinted hairs you get green.
Has anyone tried the Maybelline tattoo studio or loreal micro brow pens? Also, how warm are the shades? If I can't get an ashy tone it goes red on me?
I tried the Maybelline in taupe and it actually leaned green on me.:(
I yried it also, wasn't great.
I have a review on that one too....but it's from years ago xxx
I’m actually using now. Didn’t turn me green but the nip wears down and gives a wide line now.
I tried this product and was very disappointed. It dries out very quickly doesn’t apply enough product. It’s going back.
Waterproof isn't the same as saliva proof. Saliva is different than water, and you should let it dry for longer before testing the water on it.
I got this in a light brown too. I do not like it... it’s not very precise. Not impressed.
Pomade is better I've tried everything and Pomade has been the best
It looks orange on your arm, but brown on your face
Dear Benefit, your 👩🏼🦰 over here would like some love! 💯 something I would use but none of the colors would work for me. @pamperedwolf any similar ones you’d suggest for us gingers? My 90’s overplucked brows need help!
I know Brow Blade has some warmer colours xxx
Glossier have just added an auburn shade to their boy brow
