Yet it must be lonely running from your karma. No one is going to let him in. And he knows. It's always going to chase him. Yet it's karma for all the hurt he's caused. You feel the sadness and anger in this song. It's a true masterpiece. Thank you Alec for writing this.

On one hand I really wish Alec’s music was all over the radio and everyone knew him...but on the other I wouldn’t be able to enjoy it as much I think. But, the first hand won. More people should know about his music. Hands down. Bless these people.

This is my favorite song of yours! I live in a really small country, and my school only has 500 students, so can you imagine how _excited_ I was when I heard one of my classmates humming this song?! I slammed my hand on the table and totally geeked out, barely managed to squeak, "ALEC BENJAMIN!" She turned to me, eyes wide, and said, "You know him?!" (I know it's really silly, but it totally made my day much brighter. The small things matter).

Because there's so few students at our school, I already knew her (and everyone) fairly well, but we're much closer now. I am a 11 years old boy from India 🇮🇳 and actually I first heard let me down slowly and I loved it. Then i searched who was the singer and since I am an English speaker of my school so after I heard let me down slowly i went to Alec benjamin's other songs and found this. So i am an english speaker and my teacher once asked me to sing a song in English and outrunning karma is the song I sang cause i had the lyrics in mind so this song became the first ever English song I sang in front of any public. So I sang it in front of my classmates and after the end of the song everybody praised me cause I was not forgetting the lyrics as well as I got compliments for my tone. It was my classmate's first time too hearing an english song like you can say live. Even though without the background music I got admired by everybody. But i didn't wanted to steal the credit so i said "everybody listen the song you just heard which I sang is made by a cool American song-writer and singer Alec benjamin" but many of them didn't knew about alec but many of them also knew about "let me down slowly" so i said "it's the same guy and singer who created Let me down slowly" and they were surprised and since then it became a good memory. Now I am the only English singer in my whole school and this memory is of this year 2024 of 6thA and I am also glad that this year I became an only English singer of my school just because of Alec. It may not sound very good for some others but it's a very good achievement for me at this early age. So if you are reading this Alec Many thanks to you Uncle :)

Me too, the vocals are more haunting and the odd choice of instrument to pair makes it feel a little off and unnatural. Perfect for a song that's about what sounds like somewhat of a sociopath

I am a 11 years old boy from India 🇮🇳 and actually I first heard let me down slowly and I loved it. Then i searched who was the singer and since I am an English speaker of my school so after I heard let me down slowly i went to Alec benjamin's other songs and found this. So i am an english speaker and my teacher once asked me to sing a song in English and outrunning karma is the song I sang cause i had the lyrics in mind so this song became the first ever English song I sang in front of any public. So I sang it in front of my classmates and after the end of the song everybody praised me cause I was not forgetting the lyrics as well as I got compliments for my tone. It was my classmate's first time too hearing an english song like you can say live. Even though without the background music I got admired by everybody. But i didn't wanted to steal the credit so i said "everybody listen the song you just heard which I sang is made by a cool American song-writer and singer Alec benjamin" but many of them didn't knew about alec but many of them also knew about "let me down slowly" so i said "it's the same guy and singer who created Let me down slowly" and they were surprised and since then it became a good memory. Now I am the only English singer in my whole school and this memory is of this year 2024 of 6thA and I am also glad that this year I became an only English singer of my school just because of Alec. It may not sound very good for some others but it's a very good achievement for me at this early age. So if you are reading this Alec Many thanks to you Uncle :)
