Wow, he just hit me over the head with a knowledge bomb. "Get better at what you're good at it and hire someone else to the other things". Thanks again.

Dean, this is exactly why I became a Certified Gallup Strength Coach. Through extensive research of top performing organizations Gallup found that they focused on an individual's top talents. You ensure that they don't take the person into the basement where that top talent actually hurts them but helps them to partner where they are weak. Where I struggle now is that the industry I've been working in this last 27 years has destroyed my confidence in myself. I've been attacked by so many people. I'm afraid to do anything now. Not sure how to address this one. I've tried therapy but the therapist didn't understand.

The only time I feel great about weaknesses is when I've learned how to overcome them. I don't particularly like the part where I have to learn stuff that's hard for me, but it's great when you get past the hard stuff. I love what you say about doing what you're already good at and pay someone to do the rest! Love it!

Thank you Dean, I guess I need to listen to this little story at least every 2 or 3 months.
I know it - but still going on feeling a failure because I’m not enough organized. I’m pretty good in so many other things, but my days are ruined trying to adjust this one skill I don’t have.

This is huge for me but in the opposite of what happened with your teacher. My high school advanced English teacher told me I have the writing constitution of a primary school student and advanced placement wasn't for me. I knew she was wrong because I was still placing in the top 4 for the year.
I now have a master of applied linguistics with a perfect GPA.
Teachers; if a student is reaching too far, lift them up, don't tell them to stop.

Hi Dean - Thank you for your words. I am 14 and I also have dyslexia but I also have adhd Autism plus I wear a back brace for severe scoliosis. Dean I want to share that I was to have surgery to put rods in my back and fuse it. The option was to do this or wear a full back brace 23 hours a day. so I did I focused and now i am not needing surgery. Dean this was not cheap plus therapies etc etc oh my brother is the same without the brace. Dean my strength and focus on getting straight was great but i cannot apply it to other areas of my life - Dean I have a chance to go to LA from Australia to be in a pilot series - I want to be a story teller / actor. Dean do you think you can help me raise funds to get there? Ideas or help put a plan in place please? - Dean my mum typed this for me so she knows I am reaching out. Thank You Dean I am tired of being told i am dumb my school just asked me to leave because i have too many days off for therapy and chronic pain.

Really you are showing that the teacher was not very intelligent. She should have known there are different ways of learning kinetic, visual, auditory etc. To call a student stupid is the biggest betrayal of any real teacher.
